0:00
- Hey everybody and welcome to the Paula Deen channel.
0:03
I'm Bobby Deen and I wanna share with you today
0:07
a great recipe that's quick, fast, and easy,
0:09
and it's really highly rated.
0:11
I think you're gonna love it.
0:12
Especially if you've got little kids like me
0:15
or if you've got a sweet tooth in your family.
0:18
This is peanut butter bread and the ingredients,
0:20
as you'll see, are really, really simple.
0:24
We've got a couple of cups of all-purpose flour.
0:27
We've got some sugar, little salt, little baking powder,
0:30
everything that you would expect in bread.
0:33
Also, we've got peanut butter and milk.
0:36
We're going to combine all of our dry ingredients first.
0:40
So the flour, the sugar, baking powder, and salt
0:48
and we will just whisk, whisk, whisk these things together.
0:55
I don't know about you,
0:55
but I love fresh, hot bread right out of the oven.
1:00
A lot of people are maybe scared
1:03
of trying to bake bread, but it's really not hard
1:07
especially when you have a few simple ingredients
1:11
like this recipe calls for.
1:13
So, our dry ingredients are mixed up.
1:15
We'll add to that our peanut butter and our milk
1:20
and you'll see that I've got a greased pan over here
1:25
This bread from start to finish takes probably 45 minutes,
1:30
maybe 50 from the time that it's completely done.
1:35
that you maybe check it at about 40 minutes
1:39
and make sure that you're not burning your bread.
1:43
Especially if you've got a good oven
1:45
like my mom has here.
1:46
She's got a really nice convection oven
1:50
that is suitable for restaurants.
1:52
No question about it.
1:56
Whisk, whisk, whisk, whisk, whisk.
1:59
And this is when we're done whisking,
2:00
it should pour easily right into the pan.
2:04
Now, I'm always prepared like a good boy should be.
2:09
So in the name of time, I've already baked one of these.
2:12
So, that means I know how good it is.
2:15
I know how it turns out.
2:16
I know what it looks like.
2:18
I know exactly how long it takes
2:20
and believe me, you're gonna love it.
2:22
And I recommend they eat it warm
2:26
and you eat it with your favorite jam or jelly.
2:28
So, if you've got some Mayhaw at home,
2:31
or if you do your own canning, or if you like blueberry jam,
2:35
or peach, or strawberry, whatever the case may be,
2:39
this warm peanut butter bread
2:41
is gonna receive it beautifully.
2:44
And if you happen to have three-yeah-old triplets like me
2:47
and you like peace and quiet,
2:49
bake some of this. (laughing)
2:52
And you just might get that piece and quiet
2:57
Unless you got three, three-yeah-olds,
2:58
you got no idea what I'm talking about,
3:00
but oh boy, is it rowdy.
3:05
They got hollow legs.
3:09
Okay, so that looks really nice.
3:12
That's a nice, thick batter too.
3:16
So, you can tell that this is gonna be
3:17
a really hearty bread.
3:30
So into our greased pan, you ready T for your close up?
3:36
Oh boy, is that nice?
3:40
Just coming right outta that bowl
3:42
and into the pan with no problem.
3:45
Beautiful consistency.
3:52

4:25
Okay, mama would be mad
4:26
if she was standing here and I didn't get every,
4:30
every little bit of this batter outta here so I must.
4:34
Now, probably you're thinking,
4:36
I wonder if I could do that with almond butter
4:37
or with cashew butter, does it have to be peanut butter?
4:41
I would say, if you wanna try almond butter, try it.
4:44
It should turn out just perfectly.
4:46
It should be no different.
4:51
Get our batter down in. (pan clicking)
5:07
For about, I'm gonna check it in 40 minutes.
5:12
It's been exactly 40 minutes
5:14
since I put this beautiful loaf of peanut butter bread
5:17
in the oven and it came out absolutely gorgeous.
5:20
It's warm, it smells like peanut butter heaven.
5:25
Let's do the old toothpick test on it
5:27
and make sure that it's perfect.
5:30
If the toothpick comes out clean, it's ready.
5:34
And the toothpick is clean.
5:37
So, our bread is ready.
5:45
If you like peanut butter or almond butter
5:47
or whatever, you will love this bread.
5:51
Well, let's give it a taste.
5:53
I don't have a bread knife
5:54
so I'm gonna go with a giant chef's knife to cut here.
5:59
Oh boy, look at that.
6:07
Ooh, and it's just warm.
6:08
Can you see the steam coming off of it?
6:10
Oh, look at that beautiful bread.
6:13
All of you who think that baking bread is too hard
6:16
so you don't wanna try it,
6:18
I just proved to you that that's not true.
6:26
How is my momma's butter hard?
6:30
But look at it just melting.
6:35
I don't know about you all,
6:36
but I am a fan of cakes and breads.
6:40
I don't eat them very often,
6:42
but I am a big fan of cakes and breads.
6:44
So when I do get 'em, it's a real, real treat.
6:47
My mom has got some really nice peach jam here
6:50
and I wanna try that, but I think I wanna try
6:52
the peanut butter bread
6:54
with just a little butter on it first.
7:09
The peanut butter flavor is really light.
7:13
This is not like a big, giant mouth full of peanut butter.
7:17
It's really light, really tasty and delicious.
7:19
It's a beautiful bread.
7:20
I think you're gonna like it.
7:22
I'm gonna have a little bit more
7:23
with some of my momma's Southern Peach Preserves.
7:27
I was a little, no, that's not true.
7:31
I didn't give you great detail on the recipe,
7:34
but that's because there's links right below the video.
7:36
So, go click the link below the video
7:38
and you'll have all the exact measurements
7:40
of everything that I used and it'll show you exactly
7:43
how to make everything that you see us make.
7:48
Beautiful peanut butter bread with peach reserves.
7:51
Love and best dishes, everybody.
