It's that time of year again.

We're approaching Mother's Day,

and I so, so, so pull for all you mothers out there,

because being a mother is,

it's one of the hardest jobs that we will have.

And when I think back, I'm always disappointed in myself.

You know, I say I could have done better,

my sons grew up to be wonderful Christian men,

wonderful fathers, wonderful husbands,

and Michael's children are the same way,

They are incredible addition

to my starting family.

And I love being the mother

and the grandmother of my whole entire family.

it's hard for me to express myself,

but I have always been a big,

at a girl folk, women that are trying to start a business,

because I've lived it.

And I tell everybody all the time,

I was not the only person in that boat.

I had a boat full of company.

So many of us don't get to share or tell our stories.

So it was so important to me that in 2012,

I started a foundation

and I named it the Paula Deen Bag Lady Foundation.

And I named it after my first little business.

You know, I started with that $200

and I think I went six years before I had to borrow a penny.

And so that $200, it took me down the road

and I was so proud, so, so proud.

In 2013, my life kind of changed a little bit,

and the Bag Lady was kind of just pushed to the side.

And our mission is to help women

and their children, should they have any children.

I've been there and done that.
