- Hey, everybody, it is the 4th of July.
0:03
And in Savannah, it is so hot,
0:07
we are going to make an afternoon drink.
0:10
Theresa and I are in the kitchen today,
0:13
and I think she actually requested this
0:15
'cause I'm not- - I did.
0:16
I'm not a big Margarita fan,
0:22
and you're a good mixologist.
0:23
So we get to play hooky after this,
0:26
and you're making me a cocktail.
0:28
- We are doing a watermelon margarita.
0:32
So I mean, it smells wonderful.
0:34
Theresa got the watermelon all juiced down-
0:39
- [Theresa] And that's about two watermelons.
0:43
- So, we're at three cups.
0:44
- [Theresa] Well that's actually...
0:45
We're doing a half a recipe. - Right.
0:47
It would normally come out to about six cups,
0:56
- But it already looks good.
0:58
- [Theresa] I could drink just that.
1:02
You know what, I'm gonna just add a little ice.
1:04
It is already chilled,
1:06
but I'm gonna add just a little ice just
1:07
to make it a little cooler for when we get to test it.
1:11
All right, and then one cup of tequila.
1:17
- [Theresa] And again, you can do whatever you want
1:20
If you want more, less, whatever, it's up to you.
1:24
Or don't put it in at all and just put club soda,
1:27
- One cup of lime juice.
1:32
And then a half cup agave nectar.
1:49
Okay, we're gonna give it a little stir.
1:52
We used all our limes and did not save
1:56
- That was my bad. a slice.
1:59
I was so busy getting excited about our 4th of July drink.
2:07
- We're going to just have to
2:10
make it a nice little drink without any garnishment.
2:18
- [Theresa] Now Eddie, you could...
2:19
One thing that I don't really think the recipe says,
2:21
but you could rim your glass with either sugar
2:28
or with salt, depending on what you like.
2:30
Paula would do salt because she loves salt on watermelon.
2:33
But you could, and all you have to do is get a little bit
2:36
of lime, get a piece of lime, do the rim,
2:39
and then dip it in either your sugar and it'll adhere
2:46
- [Theresa] I think it looks beautiful.
2:47
So you taste it, boss
2:49
'cause I'm taking the picture.
2:53
You said you really didn't like them, so.
2:58
Very, I mean, that watermelon is just fantastic
3:05
And you know with the lime, it kind of dances around.
3:08
You get a little bit of watermelon
3:09
and then the lime kicks in.
3:12
And I'm not a big tequila person, so thankfully,
3:14
that kind of stays away.
3:16
But anyways, I hope you all have a great 4th of July,
3:19
and I hope you're somewhere nice and cool,
3:24
maybe on the beach or at a lake,
3:26
but have a safe time.
3:31
