0:30
It would be an honor to have you join me
0:32
on those culinary adventures.
0:34
And so, but today we are going to be making a wonderful,
0:38
this is actually Elevated Comfort, my brand,
0:44
A not nice way of saying it,
0:46
I call it bougie tea. (chuckles)
0:48
It's very, very foo-foo in the sense
0:50
that it's not just ordinary sweet tea.
0:53
And this is just taking beautiful tea
0:56
that you would enjoy in the south
0:57
and then elevating it with a little bit
0:59
of different ingredients
1:01
to make it extra special,
1:03
especially for, like, a dinner party
1:04
or doing something in the summer.
1:06
I think it's just a great thing to add to your table.
1:09
And so what we're doing now is we have some water boiling,
1:12
and we're going to take two teabags each.
1:15
We're going to take two teabags of Lemon Zinger tea,
1:19
and then two other teabags of whatever fruit tea you enjoy.
1:22
This, I think it's a berry tea.
1:25
You can use cherry, you can use peach,
1:27
you can use raspberry.
1:29
You can use anything that you want.
1:32
But make sure you have the lemon and also the fruit tea,
1:34
and we're just gonna add that in
1:36
and we're gonna allow this to steep.
1:38
At the same time in this,
1:40
we're actually going to add in our sugar too as well,
1:44
just because we want the sugar to dissolve.
1:46
And so I'm going to start with a cup and a half of sugar.
1:51
I like sweet tea. (laughs)
1:53
So it's up to you guys how much sugar you want.
1:56
It doesn't have to be a lot, but I like it pretty sweet.
2:00
My brother, when we were little,
2:03
he used to be in charge of making sweet tea,
2:05
but he would put, like, almost,
2:07
it looked like a whole bag of sugar.
2:10
And you would see in the bottom of the pitcher,
2:12
like, this thick layer of syrup
2:15
just from all the sugar that he put in it.
2:17
And so anyway, I have fond memories of that.
2:20
But right now, we're just gonna allow this
2:21
to steep from the next maybe five, maybe 10 minutes
2:24
if you want it extra strong.
2:26
And then I will come back
2:27
and I'll show you guys how to put it together.
2:30
Okay guys, so now that our tea has steeped
2:33
and our sugar has dissolved,
2:35
we're going to just remove the teabags
2:39
from our liquid and split this over here.
2:44
Let's see. Let's move that.
2:46
And then what we're going to do now
2:47
is we're going to mix everything together.
2:50
And this is the bougie part or the fancy part.
2:53
(laughs) We're going to take some apple cider.
2:57
We're just gonna pour that in the bottom of our pitcher.
3:02
And I kind of like equal parts, apple juice
3:08
or cider to tea and to water,
3:11
equal ratios of that.
3:13
And then what we're going to do now
3:14
is we're gonna add just a little bit
3:16
of filtered water to this.
3:22
And then now what we're going to do
3:24
is I'm going to add in
3:27
our wonderful brewed tea.
3:34
Okay. And see it changes colors.
3:39
That's what makes it bougie. (laughs)
3:43
And now what we're going to do
3:47
is we're going to add in a little bit of flavor enhancer.
3:51
So we're gonna add in some fresh mint,
3:53
and we're also going to add in a couple of lemon slices.
3:58
Ooh, that mint smells good.
4:00
But I'm also going to add in some fresh lemon juice
4:04
just to add in another level of depth of flavor.
4:09
Put that in, mix it a little bit.
4:13
And voila, you've got yourself some delicious tea
4:19
But this is a signature tea.
4:22
Okay, and we're just gonna try a little bit.
4:26
Mm, it smells so good.
4:28
All of the measurements are on the recipe.
4:31
You can find it on the website.
4:37
It's refreshing. It's so, so good.
4:39
I think you guys are going to enjoy it.
4:41
Again, you could also add, if you wanted to garnish it,
4:45
put a little bit of lemon on that
4:48
and just makes it extra bougie.
4:50
So anyway, love you guys.
4:52
It's such an honor to be here with you.
4:56
