- Hey my friends, do y'all remember me telling you
0:03
that right after Thanksgiving I was gonna be running
0:07
some videos with ways for y'all to use
0:10
up your leftover turkey?
0:13
Well this is one of those recipes that I wanna share
0:16
with you and it's really tasty especially
0:19
if you're a curry lover.
0:21
So, the first thing we're gonna do,
0:25
and this truly is a dump and stir,
0:28
you have to cut up your onions and maybe chop your pecans
0:31
but these are dried cranberries, oh!
0:37
- [Eddie] You spilled your curry.
0:38
- I just lost my curry.
0:41
- [Eddie] I think, you just got done saying
0:43
you thought you had too much so there you go (laughs).
0:45
- Uh-huh, I thought it was a little much.
0:48
So I'm gonna start with a half a cup of mayonnaise.
0:57
Just not even gonna measure it.
1:00
And we're using good old Duke's.
1:03
(laughs) Now this is a son mayonnaise for sure.
1:10
It's got that little twang to it that we like.
1:13
All right so I need a tablespoon of lemon juice,
1:18
I'm just gonna try to pop these seeds out,
1:20
few of those seeds, and now I'm just gonna run that
1:25
through my fingers and try to catch any of the lemon seed.
1:38
And I think that's surely a tablespoon.
1:46
And then we're gonna add our curry,
1:48
I got a lemon seed in that.
1:52
And my recipe calls for two teaspoons of curry
1:57
but I think one teaspoon is gonna be just fine.
2:03
Especially since I just spilled my curry.
2:06
(laughs) So we're just gonna mix this together.
2:09
We're gonna add in our scallions,
2:13
green onions or spring onions, whatever you call 'em.
2:19
We've always called 'em spring onions down here.
2:25
All right, I'm adding my toasted pecans
2:28
that have been chopped, my dried cranberry
2:31
and my four cups of turkey.
2:34
Uh-oh, Theresa. - What are you doing?
2:37
- This is not. - I think we need
2:39
- [Paula] I think this bowls not gonna be big enough
2:41
and I told you it was but it's not.
2:45
So do we have a little bigger bowl?
2:49
This is such a nice salad too.
2:54
- [Theresa] This is a little, lot bigger but.
2:56
- [Paula] Oh thank ya, that's all right.
2:58
I'd rather have too much and not need it then,
3:02
what do I, you know what I'm trying to say (laughs).
3:06
Yeah and need it and not have it.
3:11
You know, we really hadn't moved back in this house
3:16
but we got the kitchen.
3:17
I say we, Eddie, Eddie got the kitchen done
3:22
so that we can at least shoot our shows outta here.
3:29
Okay, so we don't have all of our supplies here yet.
3:33
So, if we look kinda goofy looking for stuff.
3:45
Mmm, this looks good.
3:51
I'm gonna finish emptying out this mayonnaise
3:53
because when we refrigerate this,
3:59
that turkeys gonna drink up that little bit of mayonnaise
4:02
so you might need to add some more a little later.
4:11
But this looks so good
4:13
and this is so tasty.
4:18
Like, just mound it up on some butter lettuce
4:20
with crackers or I love to serve it with those little
4:24
miniature sour cream biscuits, they're so good.
4:30
So that's all there is to it.
4:32
Another delicious, easy way to use up
4:37
that leftover turkey.
4:43
Mmm, that curry powder.
4:49
Just, and the lemon juice, just brings that turkey
4:53
to a whole new level, Theresa.
4:55
I think y'all gonna love it and I hope y'all try it,
4:59
and you won't be disappointed.
