he put a doll under the Christmas tree

and a yellow truck beside the doll for Bennett.

At John's house, he left a train

and he put a surprise in the real caboose.

Now the next house is Davis's house,

and Santa said is he sailed across the sky,

he placed a soft teddy bear beside Davis's pillow.

Santa's elves had made the small bear just for Davis.

Then he checked his long list to see who was next.

As he read, he felt something

A little lost puppy was chewing Santa's list.

"Oh, ho ho" said Santa. "You're a hungry fella."

Santa took the puppy into his sack.

He put him right on top of a furry toy tiger.

At Matthew's house, Santa looked around.

Did the puppy belong to me?

No, Matthew had two little kittens.

Did the puppy belong to Jody?

No, Jody had a pretty parakeet.

Then Santa came to Millie's house

and he pinned to Millie's. Christmas stocking was a note.

Dear Santa, my puppy is lost.

He opened his sack to get his little lost friend.

But where was a little puppy?

Santa looked under the toy boats in his sack,

He looked under the toy guitars, no puppy there either.

Then Santa looked inside a doll house

and there was the puppy sound asleep.

So Santa put the puppy in Matthew's stocking.

He tied a ribbon around it to hold the puppy snugly.

Well, we gonna see what we have for Millie.

No, you've already got something.

Then he tiptoed into Lenton's room

and put the sock full of puppy beside Lenton's pillow.

- What do I have in mine?

- When Linton woke up and found his puppy, my, he was happy,

and so was the puppy.

And jolly old Santa Claus was the happiest
