- Hey, everybody, I'm Bobby Deen,
0:01
and if you were here last week,
0:03
you saw me make a homemade easy pizza sauce.
0:06
And I said, "Stick around.
0:07
Come back next week and you'll see what we're gonna do
0:10
with that pizza sauce."
0:11
Well, here we are, and it's not making a pizza exactly.
0:14
We are making more of a...
0:17
What'll we call 'em? Pizza pockets.
0:19
A ham and broccoli pizza pocket.
0:21
So I've started with opening up a crescent roll,
0:25
you know, a pre-made crescent roll and I've rolled them out
0:28
and cut them into some equal pieces here.
0:31
And we're gonna stuff them
0:34
and then we're gonna bake them off.
0:35
So I've done the boring part,
0:37
which is to get the crescent rolls ready.
0:40
Now let's go to our skillet,
0:42
and we're gonna heat up our ingredients,
1:07
And we'll just cook this lightly.
1:18
Put a little bit of the oil on everything.
1:26
Just for a minute here until...
1:28
- [Theresa] Let that broccoli cook.
1:30
- Yep. Let that broccoli cook just a little bit.
1:35
You see I've got my baking sheet laid out here.
1:39
So what we're gonna do is we're gonna put our ingredients
1:41
on one side and we'll rub a little egg wash
1:45
around the sides here and we'll fill them
1:49
and then put the other side on
1:50
and then we'll pinch them together
1:51
and they'll be like little,
1:53
sorta like, they look like fritters sort of,
1:56
but ham and broccoli pizza pockets.
1:59
They're gonna be wonderful.
1:59
So why don't we take one quick break
2:01
while we cook our ingredients and we'll come right back.
2:05
Our ham, broccoli, and onions are like perfect
2:08
so I've turned off the heat
2:10
and now I'm just gonna stir in some pimentos.
2:17
(oil sizzling) (spoon tapping pan)
2:36
Colorful and nice ingredients
2:41
for our Hot Pockets, which I didn't wanna say,
2:43
but Theresa said, "Sure, just say it."
2:45
So for our Hot Pockets.
2:59
We'll take our ingredients and...
3:13
So the egg wash is gonna act
3:14
as sort of the glue here around the edges.
3:40
So we'll take our tops.
4:21
That one is a little bigger than the rest
4:23
so I'm gonna fold it up under.
4:30
- [Theresa] And I'm gonna get you a fork
4:31
'cause I think it tells you-
4:32
- Yeah, it does. - the edges.
4:34
- Thank you so much. - Yep.
4:36
- [Theresa] And one thing I didn't tell you, Bobby, was...
4:38
- I sprinkle it with a little bit of that.
4:39
- [Theresa] Yeah. Did you already put your cheese in it?
4:44
But you know what, it's not too late.
5:11
I'm gonna leave one without cheese.
5:26
If it looks like it's one
5:27
of the first few times I've ever done this, it is.
5:33
- [Theresa] Would the triplets eat this?
5:35
- They might. It's so hard to tell.
5:40
Those people are picky or opinionated.
5:46
They would have fun making it, I can tell you that.
5:49
They'd love to make it.
5:53
All right, so there we go.
5:54
And then we're gonna dust it with a little bit...
5:55
I think we're probably going to baste the whole thing
5:57
in a little bit of the egg wash.
6:01
Yep, and then we'll sprinkle
6:02
some Italian seasoning right on top
6:07
and bake 'em off and see how they come out.
6:12
These will definitely be better the second time I make.
7:02
That one's not so pretty.
7:06
Three out of four ain't bad.
7:08
Two out of four ain't bad. They look great.
7:10
And now we'll pop 'em into the oven at
7:15
375 for about 15 minutes, probably less 'cause they're thin.
7:18
- [Theresa] These are probably gonna be less
7:19
'cause they're thin, yes. - And we'll come right back.
7:22
Our Hot Pockets are out of the oven,
7:24
and they look beautiful.
7:26
We baked them at 375 degrees for,
7:28
I don't know, a little less than 10 minutes.
7:30
And the egg wash on top of the crescent roll dough,
7:34
they just came out beautiful golden brown.
7:36
So you're wondering, where's this easy pizza sauce
7:39
that you made that you've made us hang around for a week,
7:41
waiting to see what you're gonna do with it?
7:43
And voila, there it is.
7:44
We're not using it, obviously, as a filler.
7:47
We're gonna use it as a dipping sauce.
8:04
And that's quite a lot of dipping sauce there, Bob.
8:08
- [Theresa] We can make a pizza.
8:11
You got some left over, could make a pizza.
8:15
Now, that's quite a lot of dipping sauce in the bowl
8:17
for the four Hot Pockets that you've made there, sir.
8:21
And you're right, it is.
8:24
Right, these. Ooh, whoo that thing looks good.
8:38
Go for the one that I know does have cheese.
8:47
I'm gonna get a center cut.
8:55
A little bit of our dipping sauce.
9:11
The Italian seasoning right on top is a nice touch.
9:15
They're really, really good.
9:16
So this is a great easy way to make Hot Pockets at home.
9:20
You can get your kids involved.
9:22
Easy dipping sauce was fantastic
9:24
and what a great combination.
9:26
What an easy recipe, so make it at home.
9:29
There you have it, Theresa.
