- Ooh, whee, it's gonna be a good day, y'all
0:04
because I'm gonna share a recipe with y'all.
0:08
Isn't this from the magazine, Theresa?
0:11
- It is from the magazine. - Cooking with
0:11
Paula Deen Magazine. - Don't forget the deal.
0:13
I know. - Don't forget to
0:15
tell 'em about the deal. - The deal, y'all.
0:17
If you've got a gift that you want to give somebody,
0:21
you can get "Cooking with Paula Deen Magazine"
0:24
a year subscription for 16.95.
0:29
And y'all, it's a gift that keeps on giving.
0:32
I mean, you keep 'em and they keep coming.
0:35
But anyway, I've got,
0:38
I'm gonna make a chocolate eclair cake today
0:41
and I had an eclair cake in one of my cookbooks
0:46
but this is a step more decadent than that one.
0:52
So I'm excited about sharing this with y'all.
0:55
And I'm starting out with white chocolate instant pudding
1:00
and I'm gonna mix that with my milk.
1:08
And it won't take but a second for it to thicken.
1:13
In fact, you could almost beat this
1:15
with a whisk and it worked.
1:17
But for time, I'm gonna use my little hand mixer.
1:24
All right, I've got all the pudding moistened.
1:27
So now I'm gonna put a teaspoon of our homemade vanilla.
1:36
All right, that is it.
1:39
Now we're gonna set that
1:39
to the side and let it finish thickening.
1:43
And then we're gonna do the next step
1:45
to this wonderful chocolate white chocolate eclair cake.
1:52
Okay, our look at our pudding,
1:54
it's already set up in just that short of time.
1:58
And the recipe calls,
2:01
you know, I change every recipe a little bit.
2:06
The recipe that you'll find at the end
2:08
of the video calls for frozen whipped topping.
2:13
But you know, I usually always use homemade whipped cream.
2:21
So, and I have got a seven ounce jar of marshmallow cream.
2:28
So we're gonna beat the marshmallow cream
2:31
with our fresh whipped cream.
2:36
And then we're gonna fold it all into our pudding mix.
2:41
So it's an easy recipe, y'all.
2:44
Like I said, if you've ever made my little quick
2:48
and easy eclair cake before,
2:52
this one is going to be incredible.
2:57
I mean, the other one's good too, but, but you know
3:01
we might as well go decadent gonna do it.
3:06
Remember that was white chocolate instant pudding.
3:10
So now we're gonna fold
3:19
It's been beaten with our marshmallow cream.
3:29
I'm just a slinging stuff.
3:32
I'm just a slinging stuff Theresa.
3:35
- [Theresa] That's why I'm getting it outta your way.
3:38
Let you sling it in the wrong direction.
3:45
We're gonna take our graham crackers and we're gonna line
3:51
our 13 by nine by two dish with our crackers.
4:02
We're gonna need that scissor to go down-
4:07
That's, that's that paper, like a wax paper.
4:13
And it's pretty strong.
4:15
So you wanna cover the entire bottom with your crackers.
4:20
So, if I need to, since they're,
4:24
these crackers are already kinda sectioned out
4:33
I'll be able to snap 'em.
4:41
Because you wanna make sure you get everything covered.
4:45
Now we're gonna put half of our pudding mix over this layer
5:01
And that looks like about half.
5:18
All right, our next step is putting some chocolate in there.
5:25
All right, our next step is sprinkling our grated chocolate.
5:34
And it calls for a bittersweet chocolate,
5:36
but if you have a preference as far as chocolates go,
5:44
you can use whatever, whatever your favorite is.
5:52
Personally, I'm a milk chocolate girl.
5:59
Really love me some milk chocolate.
6:07
Now we're gonna save this,
6:10
the rest of this for another layer.
6:20
And here we go again.
6:31
And these graham crackers
6:33
that's what makes it like the eclair.
6:49
If I could, I think I can stick
6:52
because our bowl is getting a little wider as
6:56
as you get closer to the top of it.
6:59
So I'm gonna do this.
7:07
one, uh- oh, one more cracker in on the side.
7:15
Perfect. Perfect, perfect.
7:19
Alright, now we're gonna put on the rest of our cream.
7:35
I hope I, I hope I cut it in half petty, pretty evenly.
7:44
I think it's gonna be just right.
7:48
Another layer of the bittersweet chocolate.
8:00
And we ain't done yet, y'all.
8:08
We hadn't gotten to the decadent part yet, have we?
8:16
Now I could have used a little bit more of this chocolate
8:19
on that other layer, but that's all right.
8:23
All righty, so here we go again.
8:28
That sounded like a puppy.
8:31
I hear a puppy over there
8:34
- Thought it was a frog. - You thought it was a frog?
9:01
Ooh, gosh, it's gonna be so good.
9:04
All right, we're ready
9:05
for the grand finale on this white chocolate
9:12
And the final layer is hazelnut spread
9:24
and I'm gonna use that whole jar.
9:31
And this is not gonna be easy to get out of the jar either.
9:36
It's gonna be like that marshmallow cream.
9:42
Now I'm using a cup and a half of just chocolate syrup,
9:47
the kind of chocolate syrup that you would, you know,
9:51
put on your ice cream.
9:55
So that's gonna help make that Nutella more spreadable.
10:01
But you wanna make sure you mix this very, very well.
10:39
I mean, it's still so thick.
10:47
But that Nutella ain't gonna win.
11:00
Uh-huh. Lick it Theresa.
11:09
Used to love when I was a little girl
11:10
and I'd come in the kitchen when mama was making things
11:17
and I got to lick the beater.
11:32
I hope that y'all don't lose your mind
11:36
when you make and eat this.
11:47
- Eight hours to begin. - Eight hours, let's see.
11:56
for dessert after dinner.
12:03
It's a messy looking thing.
12:06
Yeah, I would certainly let it.
12:11
I'm thinking that other eclair cake recipe.
12:14
I don't think you froze it.
12:26
It so cold on my teeth.
12:40
Eddie, I wanna go ahead and cut you a piece.
12:42
- [Eddie] I'm gonna have (speaks faintly) strawberry.
12:55
- It's so good y'all.
12:57
So please do try this recipe
13:01
because I think that you will like it.
13:04
