the food that I prepared today is
0:11
delicious for either in your house are
0:14
fine outside picnic like we're doing
0:15
tonight before we start the movie I've
0:17
got sugar coated peanuts for the young
0:20
people and I've got my grandmother's
0:23
chocolate popcorn balls they're yummy
0:26
for any age and I've got a hot cheese
0:29
dip here a cheese spread that will melt
0:31
in your mouth along with a good buttery
0:34
cracker but the very favorite thing that
0:37
I have today is my bacon wrap bread
0:40
sticks right over here they're so simple
0:41
to make it's a microwavable dish and it
0:45
goes great with your favorite wine but
0:47
before the movie starts I'm going to
0:50
take a quick walk with my friend Sean
0:52
from Millbrook winery he's going to help
0:54
me pair some wines with all these
0:56
delicious snacks that I prepared for
0:59
today one of the issues that we always
1:01
have it the restaurant is trying to pair
1:03
the different wines with the different
1:05
foods and of course the food that I
1:06
serves it's a very simple food fried
1:09
chicken and macaroni and cheese so what
1:11
would you suggest there in the pairing
1:13
well I think some of your lighter body
1:16
dreads like a pinot noir or great with
1:19
varieties of foods the Cabernet Franc as
1:22
well as another red variety that does
1:24
very well for the kind of foods that
1:25
you're serving some of your fuller
1:26
bodied whites are also a good pairing
1:28
what will go well with a bacon-wrapped
1:30
breadstick a nice oaky Chardonnay cause
1:34
it's got a little smokiness just like
1:35
the bacon it's got a nice acidity
1:37
that'll help cut through the fat and
1:39
just cleanse the palate and how about
1:41
this one for another scale dish baked
1:43
cheese spread you know again you could
1:46
really go with a Chardonnay a nice Pinot
1:48
Noir late bodied red I know I'm probably
1:51
pulling out a real funky menu on you
1:53
today but for the younger people in the
1:55
crowd chocolate popcorn balls and I may
1:58
be stealing them from the children and
1:59
then throwing them at the adults got any
2:02
ideas a little bit more difficult
2:03
because it is sweet however the Cabernet
2:06
Franc rape actually goes very well with
2:08
chocolate and usually has a nice
2:10
fruitiness which will contrast nicely
2:12
with the saltiness so
2:13
if I had a pic 1 i'd probably go with
2:16
that as far as picking out good wines is
2:18
just finding a nice little wine shop
2:20
where it seems like the people are
2:22
friendly they know what's going on and
2:23
just go and ask them tell them your
2:24
price range tell me what you're looking
2:25
for tumbling you're eating and they'll
2:27
help you and it's really pretty simple
2:29
experiment by all means
