the strength of our city here in
0:12
Savannah is definitely the river and the
0:15
strength on the river is our
0:17
tugboats and who drives these
0:20
tugboats big hungry Burly men we're
0:23
going to see today what they like to eat
0:26
and I've heard that rutabagas is one of
0:28
their favorite foods so that's what
0:30
we're going to go find out about today
0:33
so come along with me and we're going to
0:34
have a great time my friend Becky has a
0:37
produce stand but she was all out of
0:39
rudas today so she's brought me to where
0:42
she buys her produce all right Becky put
0:45
me on the rudas here we are Paula Mr
0:48
Rogers got some beautiful greens here
0:50
I've been buying from him for years what
0:52
what is a rudaba Becky it's a turnup and
0:55
when you cook the leaves it's like a
0:56
cross between a cabbage and a turnup I
0:58
have to confess I've never never cooked
1:00
to top before you need to do that well
1:02
can you describe the taste of a ruda
1:04
beab Becky to me it's a turnup and it's
1:07
got a milder taste than a turnup the
1:10
texture is almost the same as a turnup
1:12
root but it seems you eat the rooted
1:14
beggar bottoms more by their s than you
1:16
do the turnup roots by their your s cuz
1:17
they're milder you know the flavor of a
1:20
rudaba is very very hard to describe so
1:22
what I'm going to do is just take these
1:24
fresh rud begas to the house and make
1:26
Michael's very favorite dish Tugboat
1:29
turnips and and then I'm going to try to
1:30
describe them to you you ready back I'm
1:37
ready you got a lamp full of
1:41
greens what a fun time I had at the
1:44
rudaba farm
