yeah I'm such a nut bucket I put on my
0:08
gloves and I was telling Eddie and
0:10
Therese I said this glove something's
0:13
wrong with this glove it it was a
0:16
boo-boo that they forgot to pick up pull
0:18
out well y'all I had to thumb my thumb
0:21
in this and it was so uncomfortable and
0:25
Eddie said well Paula do you have your
0:28
thumb in your pinky finger oh yes I did
0:33
well hey y'all welcome back you know I
0:37
promised y'all that I was gonna be doing
0:39
um short little cooking shows I did the
0:44
first one a while ago making cracker
0:47
salad and I kind of told y'all what was
0:51
happening with with my family and so I
0:56
would love to hear what's happening with
0:57
y'all I am here strictly for your
1:04
entertainment and for companionship and
1:07
that's a yes and when I was doing the
1:11
cracker salad it was it was Theresa
1:13
Eddie and me and one of my favorite
1:19
people in the whole world just fled he
1:20
didn't hear in my kitchen y'all all know
1:25
II love her my Aunt Peggy we went to
1:31
Albany and picked her up and brought her
1:35
over here I was very concerned you know
1:40
that she was going out and going to
1:41
grocery stores going to see doctors and
1:43
all this stuff it was driving me insane
1:46
not listening to anyone know anyone uh
1:51
she's a woman of substance she knows
1:53
what she wants and that's exactly what
1:57
she's gonna do so now she's under house
1:59
arrest
2:04
I told her I said until I know you're
2:07
mad as hell with me but I'm sorry it's
2:10
because we love you so make her some
2:13
subjects combini I think it's gotten hit
2:15
pretty hard with this virus I understand
2:18
that there was a funeral and people came
2:21
from out of town and I think a lot of
2:23
people got sick but that's um that's I'm
2:26
just repeating hearsay all right so I'm
2:29
trying to do things share things with
2:34
you that you would have in your kitchen
2:36
that you wouldn't have to go to the
2:38
store and speaking of the store you know
2:42
that some of the grocery stores are
2:45
delivering now you can go online and
2:49
make your grocery list and send it to
2:52
them and I'm sure you could do it by
2:54
phone you know I'm in the old fashioned
2:56
way I said you know pick up the phone
2:58
and let me hear a voice but they deliver
3:02
in case you don't have anybody or if you
3:05
feel you can't get to the grocery store
3:06
but I'm trying to share recipes with
3:10
y'all that hopefully you would have all
3:12
this at your house already
3:14
like cheese cream cheese pimentos
3:23
momentum I'm a hard one but after they
3:26
try this recipe
3:27
they'll have to commit to it you know
3:29
yeah maybe but you can use to Pimenta in
3:35
your macaroni salad your potato salad so
3:38
young there's a good chance same and of
3:40
course the life is so long in this jar
3:44
like this is probably good through put
3:51
my eyes in sale by 9:30 22 yeah so we
4:00
got two and a half years so well I said
4:02
a lot of people may have that in their
4:04
pantry so I'm gonna read off the pimento
4:07
cheese recipe to you as it is printed on
4:10
our website Paula Deen
4:13
dot-com calm but I'm not gonna go back
4:18
if that makes any sense
4:21
I mean I'm gonna put everything that I
4:23
listed in here but I'm not gonna measure
4:27
this recipe cost by a third of a cup of
4:30
mayonnaise which right off the bat I
4:33
know that's wrong
4:35
it calls for a cup of Monterey Jack
4:38
cheese grated because on a cup of sharp
4:41
cheddar cheese grated it calls by half
4:45
an ounce of cream cheese which is your
4:50
secret ingredient for my macaroni and
4:53
cheese three tablespoons of diced
4:56
pimento 2 teaspoons of grated onion 1/4
5:00
of a teaspoon of house seasoning ground
5:04
pepper to taste and kosher salt to taste
5:08
but I would be careful because this is
5:11
very very salty as well as this so I
5:17
would put no salt rather than take
5:20
chances
5:21
by putting house seasoning and kosher
5:25
salt I would be real leery
5:27
well when the boys and I first opened
5:32
the lady restaurant which was located in
5:34
the Best Western
5:36
I talked Bobby how we had to make dark
5:39
pimento cheese and he got so good at it
5:43
y'all I didn't want to eat anybody's
5:45
pimento cheese but Bobby's and Bobby
5:48
because we made it in such bulk Bobby
5:51
used a hand mixer and I said you know I
5:57
kind of liked that idea I like that I
6:00
used to do it oh I do it with my hands
6:04
big a wooden spoon so here we go I've
6:09
got my two different kinds of cheeses in
6:11
here and when I said 1/3 of a cup of
6:14
mayonnaise was wrong
6:18
good pimento cheese takes a lot of
6:21
mayonnaise so how much do you think
6:23
would be for that no less than a half a
6:27
cup okay no less than half will Kicks
6:30
down probably probably a 3/4 of a cup
6:33
because we're now I'm using more cheese
6:36
in here because I'm making up enough so
6:40
Theresa can take some it's our herb I'm
6:44
excited this is my favorite is it well
6:50
you know there's just something Georgia
6:52
folks and pimento cheese mm-hmm we can
6:56
make a little more Bobby all right so
7:00
that's probably about a half a cup right
7:03
there so again this is a double recipe
7:07
that you're making oh boy or maybe I
7:09
double or triple I didn't measure I
7:11
didn't measure my cheese but I have
7:15
found that after I make plum in a cheese
7:18
y'all and put it back in the
7:21
refrigerator there's a good chance I'll
7:24
have to add more mayonnaise to it
7:27
yeah it dries out it soaks up all that
7:33
so Yannick if they if they make it I'm
7:38
good in the refrigerator and then it
7:39
seems dry that's that's a very common
7:41
that's very common
7:44
yes Oh y'all want to see my mayonnaise
7:51
drawer just real quick blind come in
7:54
here no she I'll show you my mayonnaise
7:56
main tree oh my gosh you can't see that
8:04
in look I'm low 80 I am low on
8:11
mayonnaise that makes me nervous now cuz
8:17
you said half a dozen jars you know they
8:22
and they we are all being asked not to
8:25
order and I'm not hoarding I'm not
8:29
hoarding cuz I want it to be enough for
8:31
everybody that needs something but yeah
8:34
I am a mayonnaise hoarder and I'm a
8:37
butter order if they know anything about
8:44
yes if they have ever watched the show
8:48
alright so right now that amount of
8:51
mayonnaise looks real real good but I
8:57
can tell you if I put that in the
8:59
refrigerator to buy tomorrow I'd need to
9:02
add another peeping tablespoon to it
9:06
alright so I'm not gonna measure that
9:12
I'm gonna finish draining it yo it's
9:19
like um summertime here in Savannah I
9:23
can't get over it somebody supposedly 91
9:29
no on Saturday
9:31
no that just ain't right cuz we've gone
9:35
from what 35 which is even which is cold
9:38
for us we had no winner no we had no
9:41
winner the mosquitoes are gonna be the
9:44
size of a robin redbreast they're gonna
9:49
be so big
9:51
oh because we've had no cold water to
9:54
kill them all
9:55
I mean cold weather out water all right
9:59
sometimes when I start doing my thing
10:00
y'all my mind I'm so absorbed in what
10:05
I'm doing
10:05
I'll get my merge week step all right
10:14
I'm gonna do two teaspoons of grated
10:19
onion and don't skimp on this don't
10:24
don't substitute make sure you use
10:28
grated onion because you can see all
10:31
that liquor coming out of that onion and
10:36
that's where you get your strong onion
10:39
flavor and what kind of we're gonna get
10:44
did you use well I'm using a sweet onion
10:46
by daya sir
10:49
out of season right now they'll be back
10:52
in those soon so I always use a sweet
10:58
onion and like I said earlier this is
11:02
the secret you know to our Familia
11:05
cheese and I take it just like this
11:14
not so easy with these gloves what is
11:18
the secret the secret I'm sorry
11:22
the secret is cream cheese it makes it
11:28
so good if I can get it off my gloves
11:35
alright there we go
11:39
and while I'm here
11:46
alright now I'm gonna put and this is
11:50
this is a much needed ingredient and
11:57
that's garlic powder and look could you
12:02
use regular I mean could you use like a
12:04
minced garlic or is it it's powder gonna
12:06
better well I like powder because you're
12:11
not hitting this fall look like garlic
12:13
salt the main ingredient is salt so if
12:18
I'm trying to control the salt in my
12:23
dish I will use powder if I'm trying to
12:26
increase the salt I'll use garlic salt
12:32
okay and there's one more ingredient and
12:36
I don't use this often Luna cheese I
12:52
like just a couple of dashes of
12:56
Worcestershire in it whoops
12:59
believers at you like boy you could
13:01
really you can do so many different you
13:04
can use the basics and cheese in the
13:06
mayonnaise but then if you want to try
13:08
it with different seasonings yes
13:11
I've told everybody so a thousand
13:15
hundred times you know that when you get
13:17
a recipe look at
13:19
me and wonderful that is all right now
13:21
let's make sure I got everything I got
13:22
mayonnaise my two kinds of cheese I got
13:24
my cream cheese I got my permanence I
13:27
got my grated onion I did not put house
13:30
seasoning in it yet
13:31
okay this is what I want oh it's pepper
13:36
a coarse ground pepper is so good in
13:42
ferment of cheese but like I said I'm
13:47
not putting any form of salt in it until
13:50
after we taste it mmm
13:56
I think that's the creaminess that I
13:58
like oh I'm gonna put it up in a jar for
14:05
you yeah and I love when I make pimento
14:08
cheese putting it in like a fruit jar or
14:11
something like that
14:12
I just love opening the refrigerator and
14:14
seeing things like that a year pickles
14:18
ring up you know anything that well
14:21
Paula back in the day when our offices
14:22
were literally on site yeah it's
14:32
delicious
14:33
it's just one of our best oh so now
14:39
ain't Peggy I think he put a little
14:41
sugar in Europe I'm gonna cheese don't
14:43
you you mean Carrie were making it one
14:53
day and Carrie told me that you put a
14:56
little I know I know she told me that
15:06
that she did are you see did we put our
15:11
crackers away
15:15
I'll get us some crackers and we're
15:18
gonna sing
15:32
[Music]
15:46
[Music]
15:48
they can definitely see that these are
15:50
not professionally shot campaign I mean
15:53
I want this shot and it is being shot
15:56
just like you're sitting on the stool oh
16:00
gosh broken crackers yes I want I want
16:10
this to be just like you're sitting on
16:12
that stool down there and you're sitting
16:14
here in my kitchen
16:16
alright so there we go kiddies get a
16:21
knife Theresa I think piggy boy Jamie
16:34
and his children call our Aunt Peggy
16:36
great great because she is for you oh
16:42
thank you
16:42
she is their great great aunt I've
16:46
washed my hands to just I wanted a
16:48
hundred watching hundred times Abby
16:55
mm maybe you want one
17:10
now don't need too much of this planet I
17:13
know I don't think you feel good ajar
17:15
pictures in there um so it tastes
17:20
delicious does it need any salt too
17:22
young I don't think I don't think it
17:25
would stir sharp yes yeah
17:27
I would rather people and salt to it as
17:30
they eat it if they feel the need for it
17:32
and don't forget you can find this
17:35
