0:07
with patine and it's after Thanksgiving
0:10
now and look at us a't changed a bit
0:13
except for we still in the same clothes
0:15
that we were before Thanksgiving just
0:16
heavier just heavier
0:19
Fuller what's your favorite thing I cook
0:22
for you on
0:23
Thanksgiving uh I'm still going to go
0:26
with um dressing and giblet gravy it's
0:29
the answer that's the same answer that
0:31
we have every year and it was delicious
0:34
wasn't it best delicious the best well
0:38
how are you getting off the uh did you
0:40
put any extra weight on yes you did
0:45
about yes but you'll be able to get it
0:47
right off
0:50
yes in fact you you know what who
0:53
doesn't put on weight at this time of
0:54
year this is I know and you know winter
0:56
time Christmas Thanksgiving yes and
0:58
that's what I tell people enjoy it eat
1:02
and be merry yeah you know uh don't
1:04
worry about the mule being blind just
1:06
load the
1:08
wagon you know eat and enjoy because
1:11
January the 1 will be here before we
1:13
know it and we can lose weight then we
1:17
can get back on on it but don't don't
1:20
bring yourself down and put a damp I'm
1:22
wondering if I'm believing what you're
1:23
saying at this pointy oh surely you
1:26
believe it we can just lose weight in
1:28
January we'll do that next Year yes
1:31
don't worry about it yes just wear that
1:33
winter weight yes but you know don't
1:37
bring the holidays down worrying about
1:39
every little ounce you know just eat and
1:42
enjoy it and then really on January the
1:45
2nd now can't start a diet January the
1:47
1st because that's the day I cook y'all
1:50
all the greens all the ham H um hog g m
1:56
and the blackeyed peas okay so we'll
1:58
start losing weight in Fe
2:00
no January the 2 we'll start losing
2:04
weight won't we y'all I don't come y
2:07
y'all get on my side I'm here with a
2:09
smart aliy
2:11
son so now we're on to Christmas it's
2:13
hard to believe that it's already I know
2:15
December 2016 I know I love this time of
2:19
year you know what it doesn't have to
2:20
all be about gifts and stuff like that
2:22
this is the most beautiful time of year
2:23
and last year my wife and I for uh at
2:27
Christmas time we went to um
2:30
Asheville North Carolina and went to the
2:32
builtmore mansion and if you've never
2:34
been to the builtmore it is the most um
2:37
I bet it's in it's a very appropriate
2:40
destination uh trip for Christmas the
2:43
the the builtmore Mansion is um it's
2:46
Exquisite anyway but at Christmas time
2:48
it's full of um live music and Christmas
2:52
trees
2:53
every dedic yes that are decorated for
2:56
Christmas and it's just a I think we
2:58
might go back really just had such a
3:00
nice time I can't imagine it being
3:02
decorated for Christmas is it like over
3:05
the top or oh my gosh are you kidding
3:07
yes the dining room the ceilings in the
3:09
dining room are like 60 feet tall oh my
3:11
God so you can imagine how be how huge
3:13
these trees are they have there if
3:14
you've never been to the builtmore
3:15
Manion in Nashville North Carolina you
3:16
should go this year my wife and we've
3:19
talked about Claudia many times but she
3:21
is from Venezuela and her parents live
3:23
in Panama City Panama and her brother
3:26
and uh sister-in-law and nieces live in
3:28
bogot Columbia and for the holidays they
3:30
always come up I far those destinations
3:32
apart our plane ride between oh that's
3:35
like here to Atlanta it's easy it's easy
3:38
um so uh they always come to the states
3:40
for uh at Christmas time and we take a
3:42
trip you know we we go together with
3:45
Claudia family we do uh Thanksgiving
3:47
with my family and then at Christmas
3:50
time we'll spend it with with hers and
3:52
this year yeah but you're always at my
3:53
house on Christmas day remember right
3:55
and right it's just what we say after
3:57
Christmas it's just what we say um so
4:00
we're going to take a trip to Nashville
4:02
Tennessee this year y'all are going to
4:04
have a ball and because Cloud's parents
4:08
are they're just young beautiful people
4:11
and uh they love nigh
4:15
life it's a great it's a great town and
4:18
they've never been before so I'm hoping
4:19
to uh score some tickets to the grandal
4:22
opery I would love to go to the Opera
4:24
for maybe some sort of a Christmas show
4:27
fun would that be I'll see if I can't
4:29
contact somebody see if I can't help you
4:32
I've been to the Grand old Opry I've
4:35
been on stage and out in front of the
4:38
microphone and uh oh my gosh there was
4:41
so many stars that night I went Bobby
4:43
Little Jimmy Dickens Jimmy I think
4:47
little Jimmy might have passed away but
4:50
he was about that tall his guitar was as
4:52
tall as he was and he wore those flambo
4:56
suits the what kind of suits flambo a't
4:59
that a word word how do you say that
5:01
word you said it I didn't say it right
5:05
yeah you did I did yeah did I say it
5:08
right how do you say it flamboyant
5:12
flamboyant what did I say
5:17
flambo flam they always getting on me
5:20
y'all Phil has the perfect English and
5:25
uh I'll be doing things and he'll stop
5:29
you didn't prounce that word
5:32
right
5:34
flamboyant was that did I say it right
5:36
that's it you got it yay I still don't
5:38
know what I said the first time so I'm
5:40
going to take a quick break and I'm
5:41
going to make him tell me exactly what I
5:44
said flambo just pretty sure they get
5:46
your dictionary oh that doesn't help me

6:41
3300 that's 1 800 659
6:46
3300 so hey y'all we're back and while
6:51
we we're on that break I was talking
6:54
with Phil about how I said that word
6:56
flambo
7:02
flam flam
7:07
flamboyant anyway that means like over
7:09
the
7:10
top and my ain't
7:13
Peggy my ain't Peggy mutilates the
7:16
English language y does
7:18
she and I know I'm truly uh the same her
7:24
blood because the older I get the more I
7:27
screw up words ain't Peggy is is so
7:29
funny I called her last night she
7:32
doesn't like to talk on the phone I
7:33
don't
7:34
think um because I I was just to talking
7:38
to her and she said well I'll let you go
7:41
and I said well I called
7:44
you she said okay I won't keep you any
7:47
longer
7:50
bye and somehow I disconnected the phone
7:53
so I called her back she didn't even
7:55
answer the phone so I had to leave her a
7:57
voice message
8:00
I said she's done talking on the phone
8:02
she's done I don't like it either I I
8:04
can't stand talking on the phone and
8:07
everybody I don't like talking to
8:09
people I'm not enjoying this you're like
8:12
you like talking
8:15
atam you are kidding you are having fun
8:19
I'm joking I don't like talking on the
8:20
phone though I can't stand it Bobby and
8:23
everybody gets mad with me because when
8:25
they call me they know it's going on on
8:28
um speaker phone no conversation is
8:31
sacred nothing is safe I can't stand to
8:34
hold that phone don't be gossiping when
8:36
you call
8:37
Mama you be careful what you saying cuz
8:41
somebody that you don't want to hear
8:42
could be sitting right next to me
8:45
so where's that old stinging Michael
8:48
groover I can't stand him well he's
8:50
standing right here I got it on speaker
8:55
phone I just can't stand to hold that
8:57
phone son so I put on speaker and I lay
9:00
throw it down uhhuh I lay it down what
9:04
are we talking
9:05
about we're talking about almost
9:09
Christmas you know I was G Michael
9:12
groova makes me so mad y'all um me
9:17
too now you talking about somebody that
9:20
won't leave you any gift to get him so
9:23
the gift I was going to give him this
9:25
Christmas was one of those watches that
9:26
you kind of talk
9:28
into you know those watches I
9:32
don't well you can talk into it and if
9:36
your phone rings you can answer it oh an
9:38
Apple Watch it's like a Batmobile okay
9:41
so so it's a
9:43
car huh huh no it's that watch is like
9:48
something is like a Batmobile Batman
9:50
would
9:51
use and
9:53
um so we were sitting around the other
9:56
night and he answered his wife
10:00
and I said what is what is that what is
10:02
that you
10:03
got he said oh I bought me this new
10:06
watch it does
10:10
everything I said well good I hope
10:12
you're enjoying it cuz that was one of
10:13
your Christmas gifts why don't you just
10:15
start giving him what he deserves
10:17
nothing
10:18
right that's what I'm going to do son
10:21
there you go that made me so mad because
10:24
he just sits in his office when he's not
10:26
working don't get mad embrace it
10:30
embrace it and he's in there ordering
10:33
everything for
10:35
himself just everything so I will I will
10:40
get him what he deserves get him a
10:44
card what are you gonna get Cloud a
10:51
card what what
10:53
bam no you know what I don't I don't
10:57
um you know you know son that a wife
11:02
especially a young beautiful kind of new
11:05
wife her feelings would be devastated if
11:08
you don't give her something person no
11:09
no no I got I got some ideas what are
11:12
they um some makeup stuff some some
11:15
stuff that I've seen I don't know yet
11:17
and she's probably got you know clouds
11:19
of everything uhhuh cloud is she's got
11:22
everything yeah at the same time she's
11:24
very simple and minimalistic she is she
11:27
doesn't like clutter and stuff yeah so I
11:29
if when I give Cloud a gift I try to
11:31
make sure that it's something that is
11:34
appropriate and something that she'll
11:35
you know use yeah I don't like to give
11:38
people stuff that's just I know for
11:40
nothing I was I was hoping in today's
11:43
podcast that we could throw us both an
11:45
anchor
11:47
no no no that uh we could throw out some
11:53
ideas for folks to do for Christmas oh
11:57
man I think that uh
12:00
I think taking a trip together is a lot
12:01
of fun oh I do too I love trips and uh
12:05
cloud and I you know and especially if
12:07
you go someplace where you can enjoy the
12:09
season if you can go someplace where you
12:10
could go on a sleigh ride or if you
12:12
could um do um just outdoor activities
12:16
with um uh with be wonderful go to Maine
12:21
or somewhere like that that's a little
12:23
cool I love that commercial where you
12:26
see the the horse and the sled
12:30
the looks good on TV don't it it looks
12:32
so good from your house oh it looks so
12:36
good and so inviting I like the idea of
12:39
the jingle bells are ringing and the
12:40
dogs are running they do that every
12:42
place really I think it's a Budweiser
12:44
commercial probably is yeah oh gosh
12:47
y'all I've had such a good time just is
12:49
it over yeah it's time for us to go son
12:51
I got I got things to do got to go
12:54

12:56
to see yes I've got to go think about
12:59
what I'm going to buy for them six
13:01
little Grand
13:03
children well with the beauty of the
13:06
internet you can go online and buy there
13:08

13:10
