hey y'all I hope everybody out there on
0:07
Facebook and Twitter and pauladeen.com
0:09
today are doing great so I have asked
0:13
y'all to send in recipes using your
0:16
spices and as I promised y'all I was
0:19
going to cook the top three recipes that
0:22
caught my eye and this recipe comes from
0:25
Candy ashelman you sent in a wonderful
0:28
potato soup so let's get started to
0:31
start candi's recipe she has instructed
0:35
me to use a half a pound of bacon that
0:39
we have diced up and I've got some flour
0:42
right here we're going to make a r but
0:44
the first thing I'm going to do is take
0:46
an onion and I'm going to dice it up I'm
0:49
going to throw this in with my bacon and
0:52
I'm going to turn it up a wee little bit
0:55
and I'm just G to kind of guess at how
0:58
much flour I've got six cups of chicken
1:01
stock over here I'm going to take our
1:04
stock and add that all right now I'm
1:07
going to add our two cups of heavy cream
1:11
now over here in this pot candy has
1:14
instructed us to use about four cups of
1:18
potatoes that have been diced up about
1:21
the size of potato salad all right now
1:24
in these go candy said that she put salt
1:27
black pepper and garlic in her potato
1:29
soup now the thing I love about these
1:32
spices is they come with
1:35
Grinders and I like the fact that my sea
1:39
salt is in big chunks and I'm not going
1:42
to release that
1:43
flavor until I grind it
1:47
up and this garlic also it has chunks of
1:52
sea salt in with the
1:54
garlic so we're going to put a little
1:56
garlic sea salt in there and I like that
2:00
you know I just feel like I'm getting
2:02
the fresher flavors all right so the
2:05
next thing because we're the big pepper
2:08
eaters fresh ground black pepper so she
2:13
puts basil and fresh parsley I'm just
2:17
going to dice them up real quick I'm
2:19
going to add that directly to the pot so
2:23
candy I think we're ready girl to try
2:26
your soup it looks so delicious delous
2:30
candy I think you've done good girl now
2:33
I want to remind y'all keep sending me
2:36
those recipes I want to know what y'all
2:37
are doing out there I'll see y'all in
2:40
the spice a
