No Cook Banana Pudding - What's cooking with Paula Deen?
Mar 18, 2017
In this week's "what's cooking with Paula Deen", Paula talks about one of her famous recipes, no your mama's banana pudding. Some of the best tips about making this pudding:
1. When you whip the cream and sugar, be very careful to not over whip cause you will get butter.
2. Use a bowl that has been in the freezer.
3. Put your beaters in the freezer as well.
4. Have the cream cheese and butter out early to come to room temperature.
5. Use sweet and condensed milk. Don't confuse it with evaporated milk.
6. Use a whisk to break up the pudding mix to make sure everything is smooth.
7. Chessmen cookies or homemade shortbread cookies are great to have on the bottom, as layers and top of the pudding.
8. Toss your banana slices in lemon juice to keep them from turning brown.
Enjoy!
