- I need to go out here to the candy jar
0:02
and get
0:03
um
0:04
a few pieces.
0:05
I'm not going, not going outside, you wanna go outside?
0:08
All right go outside.
0:09
We going to get some candy.
0:12
(frightening scream noise) (scared shocked expression)
0:17
(eerie laughing) (laughing and giggling)
0:21
(laughing)
0:25
who does that sound like?
0:27
It sounds like me.
0:29
Um.
0:30
I thought she was the cutest little witch.
0:34
And so every Halloween I put it
0:37
by the candy dishes.
0:39
So I can tell
0:41
when my grandchildren are nabbin candy.
0:46
All right Lulu, you comin or going?
0:51
I can't Mikey (back round speaker talking),
0:54
oh their beautiful Lulu's outside ( back round speaker).
0:59
(laughing)
1:01
Oh, I forgot my candy.
1:05
I forgot my candy.
1:07
(back round speaker) Okay.
1:13
(frightening scream noise) (man giggles)
1:18
somebody's steeling the candy.( laughing)
1:22
Oh my gracious,
1:26
Happy Halloween Y'all!
1:29
Oh
1:31
we are gonna start
1:34
with our pretty Halloween glasses first,
1:37
and we're going to be making parfaits um
1:41
for the children for
1:42
Halloween.
1:43
Look at, look at those
1:44
skinny skeleton fingers wrapping around that
1:48
glass. See it's like this.
1:50
- Perfect.
1:51
- Yes.
1:52
- Perfect match.
1:54
- And this is very easy.
1:56
Um.
1:57
Theresa did do one part though earlier for us,
2:00
because it has to sit for like four to six hours in the
2:03
refrigerator.
2:04
And I will share with y'all
2:07
um
2:08
what that part is.
2:11
It's three 15 ounce cans of Mandarin oranges.
2:15
That's in water,
2:17
um
2:18
three tablespoons of sugar and
2:21
one and a half teaspoons of cornstarch.
2:24
Now you're gonna
2:26
put that together,
2:27
bring it to um,
2:29
a light boil
2:30
on top of the stove.
2:33
And um you want to reserve eight
2:37
Mandarin orange
2:38
sections for us to garnish on our Parfaits with.
2:42
And when you're heating this up,
2:44
you want to kind of break up your Mandarin oranges,
2:47
you know, with a wooden spoon.
2:49
So
2:50
um you put that in the refrigerator, like I said,
2:53
and let it
2:54
um
2:56
refrigerate for four to six hours,
2:59
or overnight,
3:01
but you do want that cold.
3:03
All right now to put our Parfaits together,
3:07
I have two cups of heavy whipping cream
3:11
and I've got confectionary sugar,
3:16
and I'm going to beat until
3:20
it forms soft, soft peaks.
3:25
Okay. Now that's
3:27
um beat just about perfect.
3:29
You don't want it so stiff that it turns back butter.
3:32
You want it to kind of collapse just like
3:36
that there when it fell off.
3:39
So now we're going to come on over here, to this bowl,
3:43
and we're going to put in one eight ounce package of
3:47
softened cream cheese,
3:58
You know me,
3:59
I'm gonna fool around and get every bite of it.
4:02
All right. And then we've got our honey here.
4:05
Let's see how much money is that
4:08
two tablespoons of honey.
4:11
And we just to beat that until it's smooth.
4:21
And then we're going to incorporate our two dishes.
4:27
(whisking noise)
4:31
okeydoke
4:34
Now I'm going to start
4:37
by bringing my whipped cream,
4:40
my sweetened whipped cream over here,
4:44
and I'm going to kind of slowly work that
4:47
into our cream cheese
4:55
And hopefully get it a little aerated,
5:00
get some air in it.
5:11
I love cream cheese and I loved whipped cream,
5:13
fresh whipped cream.
5:16
there's just nothing's, any better.
5:26
So this is going to make
5:29
quite a few little Parfaits.
5:43
And once I get it kind of folded in,
5:45
then I feel like I can kind of give it
5:48
a couple of good stirs
5:51
to make sure it's incorporated.
5:54
So here it goes the last of our whipped cream
5:57
in with our cream cheese.
6:02
You know,
6:03
you can put those two ingredients together and
6:07
there's so many things that you can make
6:10
from that point.
6:11
There is just
6:13
so many ways
6:17
that you can change this about and
6:20
make all kinds of desserts.
6:35
I think I'd have been safe to go ahead and beat this with a
6:38
mixer you know at 80.
6:44
Okay.
6:45
All right now
6:47
to Parfaits together and you can kind
6:50
of do this in any order that you want to,
6:53
but,
6:55
this is the way I'm going to do mine
7:01
for our crust, where you using just a
7:04
chocolate wafer.
7:07
No, no cream centers.
7:11
And we're going to put that layer down
7:14
and that's going to act as our crust.
7:21
Okay.
7:22
Next
7:24
we're going to
7:30
Put a cream cheese layer.
7:33
Oh I was trying not to do that,
7:37
I'm gonna get a spoon
7:39
look at this Eddie,
7:42
Eddie gave me these
7:44
little set of wooden spoons.
7:46
And I think they're so precious. In fact, Michelle,
7:51
when she was shooting a video with me the other day,
7:56
she said, where did you get those adorable little spoons?
7:59
So remind me, Eddie
8:01
um
8:03
I need to
8:05
order her some for Christmas.
8:07
That could be a Christmas present.
8:08
- Ill have to Ill have to look when I go after the show
8:11
- All right, I'm going to need. Yes.
8:13
That would be wonderful
8:16
um if you would do that, because
8:21
I know that that would please her.
8:26
All right. Now I'm going to put a few more
8:30
like a little light layer. Again,
8:36
and then another light layer of this.
8:42
And then, its one of them finger licking shows
8:50
and look at this our oranges are the color of our glasses.
8:59
How cute is that?
9:02
And the children are gonna love it.
9:07
Let's see what I wonder if we have a
9:10
scary finger
9:14
that we could put on that?
9:17
Aint that cute?
9:20
Cute, Cute, Cute.
9:21
I know
9:23
Peeps push me that candy jar.
9:28
Let me see what's in here.
9:31
Oh how about a little pump in patch.
9:35
How's that Eddie?
9:36
- Looks good.
9:40
- Got some more pumpkin patches.
9:45
Okay. So like I said,
9:47
you can layer these
9:49
any way you want to,
9:56
And you can make as many layers
10:00
as you want to.
10:06
- I'm gonna make one.
10:08
- You going to make one, come on,
10:12
come on and make one Peeps.
10:16
- I like more layers.
10:18
- Well you do it any way you want to.
10:37
Well..
10:42
and we could do a candy corn.
10:47
Its so so smaller.
10:50
Than the
10:54
than the
10:55
Cabbage, then the
10:58
pumpkin
10:59
I'm going to use three of those.
11:05
Okay.
11:07
So just that easy.
11:12
And I believe
11:14
that this is in one of the
11:16
issues of cooking with Paula Deen magazine.
11:20
I think,
11:21
let me see the notes on this.
11:24
Yes.
11:25
So all you have to do, if you want um
11:28
some ideas for Halloween,
11:30
all you have to go do is
11:33
go to www.pauladeenmagazine.com
11:36
And um, and then once you get in, you know,
11:38
you can hit search and just search for Halloween recipes,
11:44
right Peeps?
11:45
- Yeah.
11:51
- You're creating a masterpiece, Aren't you?
11:53
- Yeah.
11:57
Am I taken too much time?
11:59
- No,
12:01
like we said early,
12:02
you can't rush an artist.
12:05
- That's right.
12:09
- So this is what
12:10
I'm giving the children for dessert tonight.
12:19
- Now that's perfect.
12:20
- You're happy. You're happy with that?
12:21
- No not yet.
12:22
(laughing)
12:25
- Oh, that's right.
12:25
You hadn't gotten your Mandarin oranges.
12:29
Do you want to pumpkin to go on top of yours?
12:32
- No,
12:33
mine is a diet one.
12:34
(laughing)
12:39
- You could make this light, sure enough
12:42
That's so pretty Michael, look at all the layers.
12:45
Show him over here where there's not so many fingers.
12:47
- Yeah
12:49
- All the pretty colors.
12:54
Wow. You could make this lighter because you could use
12:58
um
13:00
sugar-free chocolate wafer.
13:03
You could use a light cream cheese.
13:07
(laughing)
13:08
You could move,
13:09
use a light cream cheese (laughing)
13:12
and a light cream cheese.
13:14
(laughing)
13:15
You want to spin?
13:18
Oh, you know what I forgot?
13:20
- What?
13:22
- Forgot to put the chocolate curls on it.
13:30
- Oh good I'll have some of that for mine.
13:33
Oh, you did put a pumpkin patch.
13:36
- Yeah.
13:38
- That's it yeah
13:42
- That's going to be prettier.
13:55
Oh, that's so pretty.
14:00
See those chocolate curls.
14:03
I can't imagine what I could do. If I could see,
14:06
I could really be good at this Eddie. (laughing)
14:10
You know, if I could just see.
14:16
Beautiful!
14:17
Well Micheal,
14:19
Happy Halloween!
14:22
Bon appetit!
14:23
- Cheers!
14:24
- Oh I've got a itchy eye.
14:28
- Cheers!
14:28
- Cheers!
14:30
Bottoms up.
14:33
Happy Halloween!
14:35
(loud witching laugh)
