0:00
- Hey everybody, it's Bobby Deen here,
0:02
and it is Air Fryer Week, all right?
0:04
So we're doing recipes
0:05
from my mother's, "Paula Deen's Air Fryer Cookbook" today.
0:12
And this is a great simple recipe,
0:15
sort of an indulgent recipe,
0:18
and something just really fun,
0:20
and you might wanna get the kids involved.
0:23
Super simple, super fast,
0:25
involves canned biscuits and my mom's air fryer oven.
0:29
It couldn't get any simpler.
0:30
So what we're gonna do
0:31
is we're gonna use a cookie cutter, all right?
0:33
I've got some canned biscuits,
0:35
and we are going to make donuts.
0:44
So we're not gonna waste anything.
0:47
I'll take the donut hole here
0:50
and just pop them off to the side,
0:53
and those will be our appetizers.
0:56
- [Camera Operator] Those are my favorite part.
0:59
Yeah, they're not gonna go to waste.
1:01
You can rest assured.
1:03
- [Camera Operator] Did you make these when you were young?
1:05
Did your mom make these, but she fried 'em?
1:06
- You know what? My mom did.
1:08
Yeah, my mom made these before air fryers.
1:10
My mom made these biscuits at home.
1:13
She probably used a canned biscuit,
1:15
or you know, she probably did a little bit of both.
1:17
She probably did some homemade biscuits.
1:19
But I know that my mom used some canned biscuits
1:20
when I was growing up.
1:23
Cinnamon and sugar biscuits.
1:27
But it was, you know, it was more of a chore then.
1:31
You're not gonna believe it when I show you
1:33
my mom's little air fryer oven over there.
1:36
You are going to love it.
1:41
All right, so I've got all of our donut holes out,
1:47
simple as pie, and I'm just gonna give these biscuits
1:58
All right, now let's go over to the air fryer,
2:00
and I'll show you how simple this is.
2:04
This reminds me of the little Easy Bake ovens
2:07
from when I was a kid.
2:15
375, and we've already got it set for about five minutes,
2:21
and that looks about right to me.
2:23
So we'll come back in five minutes,
2:25
we'll spray the other side.
2:26
Well, excuse me, we'll flip the biscuits,
2:28
we'll spray the other side,
2:29
give it another four or five minutes,
2:30
and then we'll toss them
2:31
in some sugar cinnamon coating,
2:33
and they will be fantastic.
2:36
So it's been four minutes.
2:39
Man, look how great these look.
2:43
I'm just gonna flip 'em over.
2:49
You know, a canned biscuit,
2:50
don't hate on a canned biscuit,
2:52
(chuckles) 'cause they good,
2:56
and they cook pretty.
2:59
So I'm gonna give the other side a little spray as well.
3:03
We can do it kinda over here next to the sink.
3:08
All right, and back into our Paula Deen Air Fryer oven
3:15
for another four minutes.
3:17
So I'll see you all in four minutes.
3:22
These air fryer donuts are so wonderfully delicious.
3:31
The aroma is fantastic.
3:35
Eight minutes, four minutes per side
3:36
in my mom's air fryer oven,
3:38
and these canned biscuits are just gorgeous.
3:44
So what we did was we took a little cookie cutter,
3:49
cut the centers out, made donuts,
3:53
got a little cinnamon, little powdered sugar.
3:58
We're gonna just lightly coat them.
4:01
These are beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, and so much fun.
4:06
The kids, the grandkids, get 'em involved.
4:09
This is a simple recipe with a simple...
4:12
The whole process is super simple and fun.
4:18
Now, this is done in my mom's air fryer oven.
4:22
And if you're interested in one,
4:24
you can go to Paula Deen's Amazon page,
4:27
where you'll find that they are $20 off.
4:31
And that's a bargain.
