- Hey, everybody, it's Bobby here.
0:02
Who doesn't like a delicious wrap?
0:06
chicken Caesar wraps,
0:07
chili Southwestern wraps are a favorite of mine,
0:12
And today I'm gonna show you exactly that.
0:14
This is a delicious chicken lime Southwest wrap.
0:17
And if you look at the ingredients,
0:19
you'll see why it's a Southwest wrap.
0:21
We've got our black beans, our corn,
0:24
our fire-roasted tomatoes,
0:27
chicken, and a little cilantro.
0:32
that makes cilantro taste like dish soap,
0:35
then just use parsley here, okay?
0:37
So we're gonna start out making
0:38
a simple little dressing using mayonnaise,
0:44
lime juice and chili powder.
0:47
(spatula thumping) Three things
0:48
that go great together.
0:55
A little chili powder, I'm just gonna eyeball it.
1:00
Chili powder and we will
1:02
(spatula thumping) come back at you, spoon.
1:10
A little paprika would be good in here to,
1:11
maybe a little smoked paprika.
1:14
Now this recipe you're gonna find
1:15
on PaulaDeen.com, or my mom's recipes on the web.
1:21
(whisk clinking continues)
1:23
You know what, maybe just a shade more chili powder.
1:29
To make it super Southwest.
1:36
(whisk clinking continues)
1:39
in Arizona, New Mexico,
1:42
some of my favorite places, by the way.
1:43
If you've never been, you should go.
1:45
The Painted Desert, New Mexico, fabulous.
1:50
All right, so, I've got my dressing
1:54
whisked together. (glass clinking)
1:56
And we will take our shredded chicken here
2:07
Fold that into our dressing first, just the chicken,
2:09
and then I'll mix in our other ingredients.
2:12
This, like many other recipes that are favorites of mine,
2:15
are quick and very, very good.
2:19
When you've got hungry people waiting on you,
2:21
you wanna be able to put stuff together fast.
2:24
You want it to not break the bank,
2:26
and this definitely won't.
2:29
These are all ingredients that are pretty affordable.
2:32
And you can find them in your local grocery store.
2:36
So I've got our chicken combined
2:37
and in we'll add the black beans,
2:46
I could eat corn 'til the cows come home.
2:49
(glass clinking) delicious. (laughing)
2:52
And our fire-roasted tomato.
2:55
And last but not least, a little bit of cilantro.
2:57
And again, if you're not a cilantro fan,
2:59
and that seems to be like 50/50,
3:02
(laughing) to some of us, it tastes like dish soap
3:05
and to some of us, it just tastes wonderful.
3:09
I can't explain that.
3:10
I don't know why that is.
3:12
And I'm gonna use the fold method here
3:14
that we talk about all the time,
3:16
trying to fold it in 'cause I don't wanna beat up my,
3:19
I don't want the black beans to become mush.
3:24
I just want everything to sorta marry together.
3:29
Spread that chicken on out a little bit.
3:31
Yeah, this looks great.
3:33
And we talk about this all the time too.
3:34
There's no rules, so if there's something
3:36
that I'm missing here that you're thinking,
3:38
"Bobby, the only thing that that's missing is
3:41
some bacon," or maybe it's missing,
3:46
you know, I don't know, whatever you like, add it, make it.
3:50
My mom has always told me,
3:53
"You go exactly by the recipe the first time,
3:55
and then after that, you make it your own.
3:58
Take liberties, do whatever you'd like with it."
4:01
Now this is all folded together pretty well
4:07
Maybe you might want some lettuce on your wrap.
4:09
I don't know, some nice romaine lettuce
4:12
would look good on here.
4:15
But I think I'm gonna do it just
4:19
like this on my wrap.
4:25
What do you think, everybody?
4:26
(spatula thumping) Does that look good to you?
4:32
I hear Theresa swallowing hard over there
4:34
behind the camera. (laughing)
4:37
- [Theresa] It's so pretty.
4:38
- [Bobby] It is pretty, it's a fiesta of colors.
4:42
And it's gonna make me want to take a siesta. (laughing)
4:51
All right, let's see, this is gonna be a mess.
5:12
You could use some kitchen twine, maybe,
5:20
some toothpicks, I've got some toothpicks here,
5:21
so I think I'm gonna just use picks.
5:25
And I maybe should've folded those ends like,
5:39
- [Theresa] Ooh, look how pretty.
5:40
- Isn't it look nice?
5:42
Maybe a toothpick in each one.
5:51
A beautiful Southwest chicken wrap.
5:56
and that looks like lunch.
