- Everybody is talking about the big game day,
0:03
but everybody is getting fired up about that game.
0:08
Speaking of fired up.
0:14
a friend first shared this recipe with me,
0:18
gosh, maybe 2010, I mean, it's been a long time.
0:24
And that's the first time I'd ever heard of it,
0:28
but since, I've seen it on many tables
0:31
as far as appetizers go, y'all.
0:33
So you may be familiar with this one,
0:36
because it's so easy, and so good.
0:40
It's called a buffalo chicken dip.
0:44
And that's the way I'm gonna try to heat you up
0:48
So I'm gonna start with an eight ounce package
0:53
And you can see, look.
0:55
See how softened this is?
0:57
Not gonna cause me any problem.
1:04
I've got a little drop of mayonnaise.
1:08
Looks like maybe a fourth of a cup.
1:14
And I've got some sour cream.
1:21
And we're just gonna mix that together.
1:25
This is really just a,
1:29
a stir together and mix.
1:32
All right, and this is the wing sauce.
1:37
Which you just buy at the grocery store.
1:51
You can see what that wing sauce is doing to it.
1:56
It's saying, "I might be hot, I might be hot." (giggles)
2:07
Okay, so you just wanna get that cream cheese
2:11
And if your cream cheese is not as room temperature as mine,
2:16
you could always take your little hand mixer and mix up.
2:22
Now I'm gonna stir in our dry ingredients.
2:31
I've got some paprika, which is gonna add
2:34
a little more color to it.
2:36
It's gonna make it a little more hot looking.
2:41
And I've got my garlic powder.
2:45
I've got my white wine vinegar.
2:49
I've got a little salt.
2:53
And I've got some cheese.
3:03
And now I'm gonna need a little bit of chives,
3:09
little bit of fresh parsley,
3:10
and a little bit of fresh dill.
3:12
And this is some of the prettiest fresh dill
3:14
I think I've ever seen.
3:16
I've tried growing dill,
3:17
but mine doesn't look like that.
3:21
So just like a teaspoon of each.
3:30
Okay, so that was about a teaspoon of each of our herbs.
3:44
And now for our chicken.
3:51
And that looks and smells so good.
4:02
So if you're having friends over,
4:03
this is definitely one of those go-to recipes,
4:08
or if you've been invited to somebody's house,
4:12
or if your husband, or your partner
4:14
is going to somebody's house for the big game,
4:18
and they want to bring something,
4:22
and the other partner is going shopping,
4:25
and doing some fun stuff,
4:27
you can fix this for him to take to the big game party.
4:33
So we're just gonna bake this off at 350,
4:37
you know, until it's hot.
4:40
And then I've got some extra cheese
4:42
that I'm gonna be topping,
4:45
topping it with towards the end of the heating process.
4:50
- [Teresa] I did not spray that.
4:51
Do you wanna spray it?
4:51
- And you can serve this
4:55
with corn chips, or a nice buttery, savory cracker.
5:01
You can kind of do it with anything you want to,
5:09
toast off some baguettes.
5:13
I love the toasted baguettes,
5:15
rub it with a little olive oil and toast them off.
5:20
It's real good with that.
5:24
Probably no more than 15 or 20 minutes, I would think.
5:28
All right, so we got our chives, our parsley,
5:30
our dill, our cheese.
5:35
Cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream.
5:41
Wonder how hot that's gonna be.
5:49
Not too hot. (laughing)
5:53
- [Teresa] Oh, how long do we cook this?
5:55
- Probably 15 to 20 minutes.
5:57
You know, just until it's hot.
5:59
- [Teresa] Okay, well I put it on 15
6:00
so we can add the cheese. - Says bake for 30 minutes.
6:02
Recipe says bake for 30 minutes.
6:11
- [Teresa] She spelled it backwards.
6:13
- (laughing) You're sharp, Teresa.
6:16
- [Teresa] Well Eddie looked at me like-
6:18
- You get my goofy thinking.
6:20
- [Teresa] Eddie looked at me like,
6:21
did she really just do it that way?
6:27
So the buffalo chicken dip is definitely a hit.
6:33
If you've never had it before,
6:36
you really, really need to try it,
6:38
and I think it'll go over really big.
6:41
- [Teresa] And they have mild, medium,
6:43
and hot wing sauces, so you can do it
6:45
at whatever you want.
6:49
And if you want it real hot,
6:50
you can always add a little cayenne pepper to it.
6:53
But to me, this is perfect.
6:56
What did you get, Teresa?
6:59
Which is good, because if younger people
7:03
I know it's safe if you buy mild.
7:05
When you start getting hotter, you may not-
7:08
- You don't know what you're dealing with.
7:09
- [Teresa] Yeah, you may not appeal to everybody.
7:12
- So anything you wanna scoop it up with,
7:17
just make it your choice.
7:20
Real easy though to open this bag. (laughing)
7:25
And eat and eat and eat. (laughing)
7:27
Love and best dishes.
7:28
You're gonna be the king or queen of the party.
