Hey everybody, I'm Bobby Dean and welcome to the Paula Dean channel
0:03
I want to share with you a really great chicken recipe today
0:08
It's chicken wrapped with bacon with a chili cheese sauce. So it's kind of a way to jazz up regular old chicken breasts
0:15
I do a lot of cooking for my family at home. Chicken is big on the menu and it can get a little bit boring
0:22
You know, I mean, there's only so many different ways that you can do chicken, but I'm going to show you a recipe today that you're really, really going to like
0:27
It's quick, simple, very few ingredients, exactly like I like it. Okay, so here we go
0:33
We're gonna start off with three nice plump chicken breasts and we are going to wrap each one of them
0:43
in a piece of bacon. Oh boy, we are off to a good start
0:48
Chicken and bacon together makes a great duo. Now chicken breasts come
0:55
It's strangely enough, they often come in packs of three. So you might have to buy two
1:05
you know, stick some in the freezer or cook them all and save them in the fridge for leftovers
1:10
however you like to do it. Now, how simple was that? Three chicken breasts wrapped in bacon
1:15
This recipe calls for no seasonings. This is a tried and true recipe
1:19
It's been used many times by lots of people. It's been well reviewed. If you wanna put some salt and pepper
1:24
your chicken breast before you wrap it in the bacon, feel free. If you don't, also feel free
1:29
Now, I've got an oven preheated to 400 degrees, and I'm going to go pop this chicken in there
1:33
for about 20 minutes or until it's 165 degrees is what we're looking for. We're also going to
1:38
throw it under the broiler for a few minutes when it comes out of the oven So if you want to pull your chicken at about 160 degrees you be safe to do so And always when cooking poultry make sure that you use an instant thermometer so you know exactly what internal temperature
1:52
of the chicken is, just to be safe. All right, we'll be right back. Welcome back, everybody
1:56
We're ready for the next step in our bacon-wrapped chicken with chili cheese sauce
2:01
This is such a simple recipe and it's so good. Here is part number two
2:06
I've got a small saucepan on the stove. And I'm gonna get, let's see
2:14
maybe a little bit of a medium low going here. To my saucepan, I'm gonna add one can of cheddar cheese soup
2:25
Now listen too, I'm being a little loose with these recipes. I'm not giving you exact amounts all the time
2:30
I'm just giving you sort of loose interpretations. There is a link right below this video to the recipe
2:35
so you can get all the exact amounts right there. So those of you that wanna try these recipes
2:40
click the link below the video and you'll go straight to the recipe, okay
2:46
Can of cheddar cheese soup. Some milk. Couple of chipotle peppers
3:02
Okay, we pulled the seeds out of here. Those seeds are mighty, mighty warm
3:07
But if you like it that way, leave the seeds in. Feel free. The seeds are the, really the hottest part of a pepper
3:15
Everything's sort of married together here. And as this saucepan begins to warm
3:21
everything will marry together very, very nicely. And just a little, this is un Just a little dash My daddy God rest his soul of what this sheer sauce
3:41
What's this too? A little dash. This sheer sauce goes a long way
3:48
All right, our chicken is in the oven. We're gonna give it about 20 minutes
3:52
pull it at about 160 degrees, maybe five degrees below where we want our chicken to finish
3:58
because we're gonna throw it under a broiler for just a couple of minutes to get a nice brown crispiness on that bacon
4:04
and get just golden brown chicken and nice clear juices flowing. And then we're gonna top it with this delicious
4:11
cheddar cheese sauce with a little mixture and pepper. All right, so we'll be right back
4:18
Okay, let's check the chicken, it's in the oven. Oh man, look at that
4:24
Oh, sorry, Walt. Watch out for that hot oven door. That looks beautiful
4:36
Man. Ooh-wee. Uh-oh, watch it, it's hot. I need one more arm
4:48
Okay. Wow. I'll tell you what, this recipe calls for oven baking
4:58
and then broiling, but the purpose of the broiling would be to get a nice golden brown
5:03
and crisp up that bacon, but I think we've already got that. So when you get to this point
5:07
if you want to broil your chicken, you can. If it looks like this, I don't really think it's necessary
5:12
But let's make sure that our temperatures are good. And I always encourage a digital thermometer 165 degrees is what you looking for with poultry We at 171 so that chicken is ready Boy does it look and smell delicious So let get a piece pick the prettiest
5:30
one here, and let's dress it. Gosh. Now this would make a wonderful lunch for me. All right, so our
5:41
cheese sauce over here, and remember, this was a can of cheddar cheese soup
5:49
some chipotle peppers, two chipotle peppers, minus the seeds, a little bit of milk
5:54
and a dash of Worcestershire. And those ingredients have all gotten well acquainted
6:01
as you can see. And this is ready to top our chicken
6:06
Now, for the exact measurements on everything, there's a link right below this video
6:12
