hey y'all I'm Jamie Dean and today we're
0:08
going to see how to measure dry
0:10
ingredients precisely it's very
0:12
important when you're doing bakon that
0:14
everything be super precise that's why
0:17
I'm not the best baker in the world
0:20
check this out you'll be surprised most
0:22
people this is the way you measure out a
0:25
cup of
0:26
flour go
0:28
in go to the
0:31
top use a
0:34
knife nice and level that's the way I've
0:36
always done it that's the way everybody
0:38
does it let's put it on a kitchen scale
0:39
and see what we
0:43
got this cup weighs 4 and 34 Oz 4 and
0:48
3/4 okay that's the way that I've measur
0:51
dry ingredients all my life okay this is
0:54
the way that you should do it you
0:56
fill with a second
0:58
spoon
1:01
this is going to allow for less airor
1:03
and less settling cuz a little bit of
1:07
flour can really turn your cake into a
1:11
dried not great
1:14
experience see what we got here well
1:17
look at there that's only 4 and 1/4 so
1:20
as you can see this is 4 and 1/4 oz now
1:23
if you think that's not going to make a
1:25
big difference in your recipe check this
1:28
out
1:31
we
1:33
put almost two extra
1:38
tablespoons of flour into your recipe
1:41
and brother your Grandmama did not bake
1:45
that cake for you to mess it up and put
1:47
an extra half ounce of flour in take it
1:51
from me and take it from her do it the
1:53
right way and save yourself some time
1:54
and trouble thanks for coming back y'all
