homemade vanilla extract now you say
0:15
Jamie why would you make vanilla extract
0:17
here's a grocery store 2 mi from my
0:19
house why would I take perfectly good
0:21
vodka nice raw vanilla and 30 days of my
0:25
time to make homemade vanilla well you
0:28
know how much fun is going to the
0:30
grocery store really when you think
0:32
about it not much fun we don't want to
0:36
use the cheap stuff we're going to the
0:37
top shelf we're going to take some vodka
0:40
we're going to put it you know we're
0:41
going to use a you want to use a
0:43
decorative jar you're putting a lot of
0:45
time and trouble in the vanilla extract
0:46
you want to make it nice so topshelf
0:50
vodka we're going to simmer this we're
0:52
going to cook it we want it to be nice
0:54
and
0:55
warm we're going to come over here I
0:57
love fresh vanilla we're going to split
1:01
these vanilla bean
1:03
stalks I'm not going to scoop them out
1:05
or scrape them I'm just going to open it
1:08
up to where the true essence of this
1:11
vanilla is going to leak out of
1:16
here smells so
1:18
good going to put it down into our
1:21
jar and once this is warmed up
1:30
so I'm going to pour our warm vka over
1:32
our fresh
1:36
vanilla and once I get this tightened up
1:39
y'all I'm going to let it sit out until
1:40
it gets to be room temperature I don't
1:42
want to put this into the refrigerator
1:46
hot I'm going to seal it up now this
1:50
would make an awesome gift in the
1:51
holidays this is homemade vanilla
1:53
extract has anybody ever given y'all
1:55
