hey y'all i'm jamie dean and today i'm
0:08
going to share a tip with you that i got
0:10
from my mother-in-law
0:11
she taught me how to cook the perfect
0:13
boiled egg
0:14
the first thing we're going to do is
0:15
cover our eggs with cold water
0:20
i have cooked 400 million billion eggs
0:24
in our restaurant and a tip that i have
0:26
that i learned is
0:27
you add a little salt into the water
0:30
before you cook it
0:31
that makes them much easier to peel
0:35
when they're done here's another tip
0:37
y'all this is a three for one today
0:39
if you've got a egg with a crack in it
0:41
add a little bit of distilled vinegar
0:43
into your water and that'll seal the egg
0:46
up and keep the whites from seeping out
0:48
of there when they cook
0:50
now you're going to put this on the
0:51
stove and bring it up to a bowl
0:53
as soon as it comes to a bowl turn it
0:56
off
0:58
get your timer set it for 10 minutes
1:03
and when the timer goes off your eggs
1:05
are done check this out
1:09
the problem with overcooking your eggs
1:11
is sometimes the yolks get to be
1:12
brown or they turn a little bit gray on
1:14
you so in our search for the perfect egg
1:16
what we're looking for
1:17
is a perfectly yellow center
1:21
which we have here a perfect egg
1:24
in 10 minutes that's today's tip
1:27
