today I'm going to be fixing y'all a big
0:13
hearty country breakfast fit for a
0:16
country king but first I'm going to go
0:19
out and get me some eggs you know the
0:21
best egg is the freshest and the
0:24
freshest is the closest to where you
0:26
live so I recommend getting to know
0:29
folks in your area that you can depend
0:31
on for great eggs like Randy of love
0:34
apple farms always gives me her best
0:38
okay miss hen we're gonna come and get
0:41
some eggs from you thanks so much today
0:44
hello she did a great job yes they all
0:47
did Oh mean they've been laying hand
0:49
like yes a sure yeah what what kind of
0:51
chickens are these rainy these are
0:53
called americanas uh-huh and they lay
0:56
these colored eggs just like Easter eggs
0:58
there are bluish and they're beautiful
1:01
sometimes once in a while we get one
1:03
that's almost a little pale pinkish
1:04
color too that's a real prize but they
1:07
have a little pale yep see like this one
1:09
this one has a little bit more greedy to
1:10
agree yeah I have some green and we have
1:13
some blue man do these taste any
1:14
different oh they do they're my
1:17
favorites they're really they're great
1:18
they have a really yellow yolk much more
1:21
intense than their regular eggs how many
1:24
chickens laid these eggs Oh a lot a lot
1:27
because a hand will only lay one egg a
1:29
day really so there's been many in here
1:32
I didn't know they are all taking turns
1:33
what is a free range Oh a free range egg
1:38
is its ahem that's allowed to just run
1:41
the range I mean she just goes around
1:43
and she pecs like a hen should pick and
1:45
we get supplemented with you know scraps
1:48
from the orchard the fruit I love Billy
1:52
or is this Betty huh that was no that's
1:55
billion okay that's Billy there's Betty
1:57
over there the chickens diet really
1:59
makes the flavor of the egg then a lot
2:01
better than one that yes it does you
2:03
know you're very much selves in defeat
2:06
yeah so we got quite a few eggs there's
2:08
no one in it were Easter all you'd have
2:09
to do is hard boys this isn't me all set
2:12
there you go how can you tell a fresh
2:14
egg from a stale one well one thing is
2:17
when you crack an egg and you were going
2:19
to say fry it and put in a man if the
2:21
yolk stays together you know it's fresh
2:23
if it falls apart it's an old egg and
2:26
then of course if you boil water and you
2:28
drop the day again if the eggs that are
2:31
fresh we'll go to the bottom and the
2:33
ones that won't that are not fresh will
2:35
stay near the top okay so when you take
2:38
those out yes exactly and then of course
2:40
adding a little vinegar to the water
2:42
that's very good for two and salt also
2:46
add a little salt also help you peel it
2:49
exactly as you know fresh boiled eggs
2:51
are very hard to peel mm-hmm Oh Randy
2:54
thank you so much oh you i'm gonna make
2:56
well i'm gonna make the most wonderful
2:58
scrambled eggs out of these oh i bet you
3:00
will and the great tree was bringing
3:04
farm-fresh eggs home to my kitchen the
3:07
same day they were laid these are gonna
3:10
taste wonderful
