I don't know if y'all aware that Georgia
0:12
is known as the Peach State and as long
0:14
as I can remember all the pretty young
0:16
women were referred to as Georgia
0:18
peaches well I'll tell you one thing
0:20
this old Georgia Peach right here is
0:22
always glad to see peach season come in
0:25
in Georgia it lasts from maybe made of
0:28
June so it's not here for very long so
0:31
we really have to get in there and make
0:33
hay while the Sun shines because before
0:36
we know it they're gone
0:37
but later on I'm gonna be telling you
0:39
how to preserve some of those peaches so
0:41
that you can enjoy them all year long
0:46
earlier this morning I picked up the
0:49
perfect peaches but I also need the
0:52
perfect peach preserve so I stopped by
0:54
to see my friend Beth who always has a
0:57
huge pot brewing
1:01
[Music]
1:03
babbling ski oh I don't know good to see
1:08
you are you having a peach of a day
1:10
today we sure well I'm ready for my jam
1:14
bass so why don't we get started there's
1:17
some peaches in here all right now
1:18
you've had things in here watch just a
1:20
few moments you know they were maybe 45
1:24
sometimes some peaches take a little bit
1:25
longer yeah wow that's a huge one I just
1:27
got out and then we just tip it into
1:29
thee yeah
1:30
cold water and that stops the cooking on
1:33
it the apps are cooking and hopefully
1:35
we'll be able to just pull these skin
1:36
off we just cut them and they should
1:45
come right off that's it we just take
1:49
this and we just dump it right into the
1:51
pot and we can just carry it right over
1:54
to the stove and put them on and then
1:58
this part comes to a boil just such a
2:03
simple bit and then once it's come to a
2:05
boil then we just take the sugar and we
2:09
add it in so that sits for a while yeah
2:13
and just makes damn that's it and then
2:16
this is a finished product it's ready
2:18
beautiful color it's really it's ready
2:21
to do it I mean it yeah I mean look it
2:24
doesn't look good but that's what
2:25
peaches are like when they're just
2:27
perfectly ripe and then it's got these
2:30
nice big chunks in it to see I love the
2:32
chunk yeah I did too
2:34
all right who's gonna taste it wanted to
2:36
taste this I think I do wanna taste it
2:39

2:40

2:42

2:50
be good
