throughout the entire country there's
0:14
only a handful of farms recognized for
0:16
not only their excellence in how they
0:19
raise their cattle but how good their
0:21
finished product is and rhonni Brook ice
0:24
cream is one of the best buckets of ice
0:28
delight so when it comes to cows and
0:30
cream the man to meet is Ronnie one of
0:33
three brothers who turned their family
0:35
farm into a center of dairy delicacies
0:39
Ronnie how much cream or milk will you
0:43
get out of Roberta here a week well what
0:45
you do is you milk the milk and then
0:48
there's cream in the milk she milks
0:50
approximately a hundred and twenty
0:51
pounds a day
0:52
so she'll milk in a week eight hundred
0:55
and forty pounds eight hundred and forty
0:58
pounds a week a milk she'll produce
1:02
cream Charlie make 84 pounds well that's
1:06
all right I don't need about a pound
1:13
you're gonna be making ice cream Ronnie
1:18
and his brother Sid and Rick have stuck
1:21
to the same methods that their
1:23
great-grandparents used when they first
1:25
started the farm their cattle feed on
1:27
nothing but fresh grass in the summer
1:29
and hay in the winter the result is a
1:33
high butterfat cream that is a starting
1:36
point for their outstanding ice cream
1:38
and because they make their cream in
1:40
small batches it's delivered fresher to
1:44
the ice cream bucket the result is
1:46
definitely in the taste guys I'm here
1:49
today because I'm making easy homemade
1:52
Oreo ice cream and I see you have the
1:55
best dairy products why there's a
1:57
certain consistency about about what we
2:00
do because we not only sell this
2:01
finished product but we breed the cows
2:03
we plant the crops and we make use our
2:07
milk and and cream products to make our
2:08
ice cream and it goes directly from the
2:10
farm to the ultimate consumer
2:13
well let me ask you this why why are
2:15
y'all still bottling it in the glass the
2:18
flavor of milk doesn't change in a
2:20
bottle the plastic has a slight flavor
2:23
to it and that flavor may get absorbed
2:26
and usually does get absorbed into the
2:28
bottle
2:28
I can't wait to sample your ice cream
2:31
this is Columbia County coffee and see I
2:34
love that soft part I think it's so
2:46
unbelievably heavenly well we tried to
2:49
do with the ice cream is have you taste
2:51
what we're known for is there milk
2:53
because that's the first product we had
2:55
so we want you to be able to taste the
2:56
richness of the milk and cream but still
2:59
get all the flavors like that citiz
3:01
paid-up but that's the first thing we
3:04
tried to do got the ice cream guys come
3:07
on let's go follow me
