magazine this belonged to my grandmother

Paul and it came from their uh hunting

and fishing lodge it was uh Magnolia Inn

and it was a very very very special

hunting and fishing lodge that they

owned at Crystal River Florida and

grandmother would had this fabulous

kitchen and the men would bring back

their catch or their hunt and

grandmother would feed them and then

they had a poker

room uh for the men to go to after

dinner and this Lodge was just filled to

the brim with all kind of beautiful

antiques but this is one of the things

that that grandmother took out of

Magnolia Lodge when they sold it and uh

I was visiting with her one day and I

said Grandma I want you to be here such

a long time but when you leave is there

any way I could have that Santa head and

she said Paula go put your name on it

so she gave me a piece of

tape and uh I put my name on it and this

was in the

70s so that was

probably 40 right at 40 years ago and I

treasure this little head she would keep

peppermint sticks peppermint candy

it and every time I look at

it I've got my memor of my grandmother

M this rocking horse is very very

special to me it was just given to me

from my Aunt Peggy in the last year uh

my Aunt Peggy and Uncle George were in

the toy business they owned ORS toys and

they were in

England uh doing some buying on a buying

trip and my Uncle George saw these

gorgeous rocking horses

and so he brought back two for the store

a black one and a white one and he would

not sell these but he would take orders

for them and my Aunt

Peggy put these two horses in

storage and uh about a year ago she said

Paula I have saved some rocking horses

from England and she said I would love

for you to have one for your

grandchildren would you like it and of

course I almost wept uh because this is

a very very special horse he's handmade

this is real horse hair real leather and

uh just a a treasured gift that my Aunt

Peggy gave to me and my grandchildren

loveing but I just adore these and Jack

loves to come in and put the ladder over

here so he can get up there and move

them about this one kind of looks like

one oh yeah it does it does kind of look

like me and look one of the dogs got a

hold of her hair I had her down uh on

the back on a sofa table
