[Music]
0:05
you look at somebody else with a Hindu
0:07
that's fine for what you can do but you
0:09
measure yourself against you and you get
0:11
better so if you do in shape is not
0:13
necessary as arbitrary out there but in
0:15
shape you can do 10 now you work to do
0:18
11 and then you work to do 12 years well
0:20
it's done way that works the stomach you
0:22
want to get you don't work the stuff how
0:23
do you get rid of a tire right push your
0:26
way I am push awaits push your ways from
0:28
the tape goes away they put it buddy oh
0:32
we put it in front of you push it away
0:33
put it in Freddy you place it away okay
0:36
whole grains fruits investable take care
0:37
yourself drink i knows majority read a
0:41
little water and you know I'm not crazy
0:44
about water but I do love a diet soda
0:47
young well busy you go do you eventually
0:52
get a taste for water I know Bobby
0:54
drinks a gallon yeah exactly because one
0:57
of the things is what water does so much
0:59
stuff for you right hydration right you
1:01
should all the energy and all extra but
1:03
you need to get the water yes the most
1:04
important people water and take your
1:05
rest asleep yes they get you a yes and
1:08
get it in young gonna be doing this when
1:10
y yes yes yes and yes and yes and yes
1:15
yes and yes yes we have a dog yo I hope
1:22
this Sam's been some help to y'all good
1:26
cuz I know I ain't going to the gym yo
1:28
ain't going to the gym Jack and Matthew
1:31
like to UM make books like Jax created a
1:34
character blue squid screen so he'll sit
1:37
down yo write a book he may yell weird
1:40
blue squid maybe out in stores by the
1:42
time I'm 10 Blue Square D wrote his
1:47
first book when he was out blitz quit he
1:50
started on a couple years ago is this
1:52
just a character that you made up blue
1:54
squeeze he's a squid that's blue and
1:57
when he gets scared he turns invisible
1:58
it's good no no his he when he's happy
2:02
um p glitters but when he's sad he loses
2:08
his glitter do you want to write this
2:10
book so I've already wrote one what okay
2:14
I'll say it a different way do you want
2:17
to publish this book
2:19
tell guinea that you'll refer all
2:21
inquiries to your agent tell your daddy
2:27
that his mother said I'm not daddy I'm
2:31
agent umber signing bonus after tell
2:37
your your agent that I told him to go
2:40
blow in the wind go ball on the wing so
2:47
we're putting in a hot line so we can do
2:49
donuts and then we started deal with
2:52
biscuits no we didn't need a deep fryer
2:54
flames yeah we do so we're just like
2:56
playing around with recipes and stuff
2:58
right now but yeah we're getting a deep
3:00
fryer and then I want to start heading
3:02
to know about that biscuit with your
3:04
biscuits every day all right now you
3:06
stay in your lane okay I do biscuits I
3:12
know but not like your biscuits like
3:15
little biscuit sandwiches oh yeah come
3:21
my way obese oh honey and they are your
3:23
good and flaky detail I have mastered oh
3:28
don't give all your secrets Graham are
3:32
you talking too much yeah they're just
3:36
really nice piece kit so um no they're
3:40
butter butter butter you would go crazy
3:42
over these biscuits nobody can touch
3:47
your pralines thank you nobody and you
3:49
know I can make a pretty good praline at
3:52
home but I'd so much rather have yours
3:54
well you're the only person that I ever
3:56
gave my recipe to you I don't know if
3:57
you remember that ok no I don't haha
3:59
Melissa safe because i didn't know i had
4:02
about a bow Gardevoir from that are you
4:06
kidding yes you did you give you and I
4:09
did it together one dumb on TV and and
4:12
uh and I've made it when give it
4:16
everybody everybody gave it to you no no
4:19
no we'll see secrets are safe with me
4:22
yeah there you know the feeling cuz I
4:25
forget so quickly golly bomb now I had
4:28
to go back and watch every show to find
4:31
that show well listen
4:33
we got to take a quick break standing
4:35
will get a touch the more you don't sing
4:38
for our supper yeah we gonna talk some
4:39
more good so we'll be right back thank
4:42

4:45

5:24
that Smith & noble.com / hollow or call
5:28
one eight hundred 659 3300 that's 1 800
5:34
659 3300 okay we're back with a Domini
5:40
he brought something to show a show I
5:42
have no idea what it is I know it
5:44
involves fire cuz i saw the torch so
5:47
Adam tell me where to stand where to be
5:49
yes what you're doing so I brought um
5:52
actually the chocolate that won us the
5:54
award for top 10 oh good and so this is
5:57
our creme brulee truffle oh my gosh do I
6:00
love crème brulee so this is creme
6:03
brulee chocolate it is however there are
6:07
sugar crystals on the outside you see
6:08
how it's kind of sparkling oh no what
6:12
don't oh and I don't know where I've got
6:14
my glance well it has OS Lea murtrie
6:17
I've got glitter on my face because I've
6:19
been buying Christmas pillars so yeah it
6:23
kind of looks like my face well um so we
6:27
take these sugar crystals and it
6:30
actually encapsulates the whole
6:32
chocolate and what we end up doing is
6:34
when you order it at the store we take
6:37
this blowtorch uh-huh I'm gonna turn it
6:41
on I love these it's very dramatic
6:43
you're gonna go the theater is
6:46
whoa and then that slipper don't get too
6:50
that's on the outside don't get to go oh
6:54
it does turn into creme brulee exactly
6:58
twice shy one yes okay all right don't
7:00
have to match that I don't want to burn
7:01
Clifford and so you want to do it very
7:03
close a real close yep whoa you wonder
7:07
why so far yeah there we go all right
7:11
can I go a little bit here okay we're
7:13
good okay let's go the coolest you go as
7:15
fast as it's all right here okay okay
7:17
perfect wait i miss that age okay you're
7:21
probably awesome oh those are beautiful
7:25
and go um all right so Gus if you'll lay
7:32
down buddy while I talk Stratton please
7:35
oh gosh I could talk to you all day long
7:38
Stratton so tell me your father was in a
7:42
building in gwinnett stress right that
7:45
was his original location yes and have
7:48
you own that building all these oh yes
7:50
since nineteen since before okay so you
7:52
never sold it when you went off to
7:54
Hollywood okay and tell everybody what
7:56
you're doing to that because when people
7:58
come to town they can do two words can
8:00
say of course tours of manufacturing as
8:03
well as what we have underwear that
8:04
wonderful what we're gonna do is redo
8:09
buen that inhibition as it was in the
8:11
1940s it was a high school hang out so
8:15
we'll have less was it yeah really 4bc
8:18
primarily but yes it was a hangout so it
8:20
was the malt shop that you expect you
8:22
see in the movies yes so what we're
8:24
going to do their decor wise is do less
8:27
of the movie things and do more of the
8:30
period high school things in Savannah
8:33
and of course being an inveterate
8:35
pak-rat I have my letter jacket I have
8:37
all this stuff oh yeah got my
8:39
cheerleading outfit bring it over bring
8:41
it over do I do it cheer there you go
8:45
it's well that's gonna be wonderful be
8:47
fun don't be like stepping back in time
8:50
well I promised everybody that we would
8:53
share some crazy st. Patrick's Day
8:55
stories and I bet you've got plenty
8:59
yes but this may well be a pg-rated pro
9:04
what do tail right ciao well you know I
9:07
wrote Alice more I remember one a one
9:10
Saturday this is not really untoward I
9:13
think there was a young girl come in and
9:17
we were playing in Kevin berries there
9:19
are several musicians three or four
9:20
musicians and we play in two stages all
9:22
the way through and those bands who come
9:24
in from from Dublin and banjo come in
9:27
from Boston pipe bands and all over and
9:29
I had for whatever reason the time I was
9:32
younger still have pigmentation the hair
9:34
right and I was where oh your hair is
9:37
still beautiful it's thick well it just
9:39
turned gray it could have turned loose
9:41
hair no it's great to be it's great to
9:43
have to go to a barber the joys in life
9:46
when you get to my age but this girl
9:49
came in and she was she was very
9:52
enthusiastic it would seem and i wore i
9:53
would had a snap cap you know the Irish
9:56
a nap snap cap the time and all the way
9:58
through the day was playing music with a
9:59
snack she wanted the snap cap and I said
10:02
no it's it's it's not available and she
10:04
said I will do anything for the snap
10:06
kappa this is not available she said you
10:08
don't understand i will do anything a
10:11
snap cap and i said it still unavailable
10:13
should she decided to give us all a
10:16
sample by by raising her shirt and
10:18
showing us her piercings oh no they were
10:22
pierced well those piercings I just
10:24
there were piercings I mean that's the
10:27
voice is it she didn't get the snap cap
10:28
good that's just a mild wonder I wonder
10:35
why she wanted that snap caps obey oh I
10:38
don't know I just we just cut off the
10:39
conversation the way uh-huh my wife was
10:42
running the place at a time which may
10:44
have been a deterrent yes I bet but I
10:47
was great fun it's great fun it is i'm
10:49
telling you you meet so many fun people
10:53
this is our dog Coco hurt this is let me
10:57
tell you let me tell you the story about
10:59
this dome ah my wife asked me for a dog
11:02
a couple of a couple of years ago and
11:07
I really really really didn't want to
11:08
get a dog and I said let me look in the
11:13
dogs and kind of on my own I didn't tell
11:17
you that I was doing it I was like let
11:18
me look into dogs and see what kind of
11:19
dog we can have so I didn't want a dog
11:23
that was gonna share no I course I
11:25
wanted a huge lab that shut salon yes
11:27
three yes and she wanted them in the
11:30
house and in the bed and just everywhere
11:33
lab is completely uncontrollable they
11:35
will do whatever they would like to do
11:36
whenever they would like to do it so I
11:38
said let me look into dogs a little bit
11:41
and so I started investigating and
11:42
here's what I found if you would like a
11:45
dog that does not shed that does not
11:47
smell that does not want to get in the
11:51
pool or the pond or the marsh get us
11:55
last time whatever you live in get a
11:57
stuffed animal get a havanese know get a
11:59
stuffed animal oh good i havenít what
12:01
are you talking about good a havanese
12:03
they're hypoallergenic they don't shed
12:05
they don't smell and they don't here's
12:07
why okay here's here's the thing i
12:10
didn't want dog hair in the bed we're
12:13
still gonna go to a shelter and rescue
12:14
one never guess what I didn't want dog
12:17
hair in the bed and we are really
12:19
fortunate to have a beautiful pool at
12:22
the house and I didn't all I could think
12:24
about was here's this big old lab
12:26
swimming in the pool all the time and I
12:28
would hate that I would get not hey bro
12:29
nothing you're really good so we got so
12:31
we got so we gotta have an ease and I
12:34
gave it to cloud as a gift last
12:36
Christmas and um little did I know that
12:40
I was gonna fall in love with the dog so
12:43
our dog Coco owns my heart she's amazing
12:46
and um and we're still gonna go and
12:49
we're really we got really lucky we had
12:51
a happy accident get another dog in like
12:54
februari we have this pool and I was
12:58
like man I don't want a dog then keep
12:59
wants to get in the pool how lucky were
13:01
we that Coco fell in the pool in
13:03
February um so she discovered that she
13:06
didn't like the pool or water and cloud
13:10
had to go in and get her in February in
13:11
the pool that was to you so Coco never
13:14
ever ever in life wants to get in the
13:16
pool again so it's perfect she doesn't
13:17
shed Shenton stinks she doesn't want to
13:19
get in the pool
13:20
if you want to know where my mom is
13:23
gonna be and what she's gonna be doing
13:25
you can go to pauladeen.com and you can
13:27
look at her schedule we do the books
13:31
happens once a month like I said here in
13:32
Savannah so go to Paula Deen calm and
13:35
you can find out exactly where mom's

gonna be and what she's gonna be doing
13:37
and if you want to come to the tamanna
13:41
and go to a book side and you can do
13:42
that too so this has been another
13:44
episode of what's cooking with paula
