Let's go take them some watermelon coolers

He is a wedding producer here in Savannah. So, Bruce, I thought I would like to show you this watermelon cooler

Oh, definitely. In case you're doing a lot of June weddings, because you do these weddings from start to finish

Are you lying on August or September or October? Anytime watermelons are in season

I thought you might want to have this in your recipe file as a drink

So I'm going to show you, and it's real quick and simple. What we're going to do is we're going to make a simple syrup

Oh, she's flaming bigger than me. All right. All right, add a cup of water

Okay. And two-thirds a cup. Now, this is a one-third measure, so put two of those in there

Okay. And this is how you make a simple syrup. Just those two? Yes

All right, give me it. Thank you. OK. And we're just going to let that sugar dissolve in there

OK. And then we're going to let it cool. It's just that simple. So I'm going to cut it off because we got some down here

Now, is that like the same thing as simple syrup? That's what I just said, simple syrup

Oh. We're making a simple syrup. Well, that's clever. It's just like it

I told you I didn't cook. This ain't no cooking involved here

Well, you just eating something and get a pie. What the you call that

All right I going to add That heating up baby Oh OK All right I going to add about four cups of watermelon Well I was thinking I got I think that like a cup but I think I got a little shy of one of them

All right, now, Bruce, if you would just give me some lemon juice over in that

I need two tablespoons of lemon juice. Uh-uh, wait, now turn it

Oh, God, no, I told you. You going to squirt that? We need that big old strong Sam here to do that

This is like one of them old eyelash crampers, isn't it? Now, how do you know about that

My mama used one. Oh. Okay, now put that other half of lemon in there

and turn the cut side down. There you go. And then turn it towards that

All right. So we're going to add our simple syrup. Okay. Look at that

See how thick it was. Look at that glazed over that. See how thick it was

All right, and now we're going to put some ice in there. And you would probably like to add a little vodka to this

What's that? It's a little harsh. And we will... You came prepared

Look at that. So good for those little square functions. Yeah. The little outdoor functions you have in the square

I mean, don't you think this would be delicious? Well, once the vodka gets in it, I do. Yeah

This would be delicious as a drink at the reception. Mm-hmm. All right, now, you can add your little vodka

Because, you know, we do a lot of signature drinks now, events to keep costs lower

Yes, you want to add your vodka. Yes. Let me just add a little vodka to the glass. You add your vodka, and then I'll wait and do your..

All right, now, I'm not going to add any to mine, because you know what? I really don't

Because I'm not a big drinker. Well, you can be a little drinker. Well, it makes me drunk, and I don't like that feeling

After about 15 or 20, you don't even notice. I'm telling you, this is the strongest stem on this mint I've ever seen

And since I didn't fill mine up, I'm putting me a large. God, that's wonderful
