So while that's churning, let's come on over here. I'm going to be making a strawberry sorbet
0:06
All right, I'm going to add two cups of sugar to two cups of boiling water
0:10
and I'm going to mix those up. And then we're going to need to let this cool after that sugar
0:17
entirely melts in that hot water. And I've got some back here that has already melted and cooled
0:26
All right, so let's come over here and we'll put our strawberries in our food processor
0:33
and I'm just gonna puree them. Ooh, they smell so good. And now I'm gonna add 1 1⁄4 of a cup of fresh lime juice
0:51
And that's gonna give it a real tart taste. All right
1:04
Okay. All right, we've got our strawberries pureed up nice and fine
1:13
All right, now I'm just going to bring them over here, and I'm going to run them through this sieve
1:18
and this is going to remove all the seeds that the strawberries have
1:23
And I'm going to help it along by stirring them around. Strawberries are a beautiful color, aren't they
1:33
So I'll just save that. Now to our strawberry juice, I'm going to add a half a cup of white corn syrup
1:41
And I'm just going to stir that around. All right now the last thing I going to add is our simple syrup that we made earlier and we allowed it to cool so our ingredients are nice and cold You can make this earlier in the day Put it in the refrigerator if you want to
2:00
And I'm gonna transfer this to a measuring cup because I don't trust myself to hit that hole
2:07
with the ingredients in the bowl. And I'm gonna do the same thing with this one
2:14
I'm gonna slowly add my strawberry puree. All right, there we go. That's gonna be wonderful. Hey y'all. I'm just fixing to put this in the
2:25
storage containers and throw it in the freezer. All right. So I'm just gonna pour this
2:34
in the container and I'm gonna throw it in the freezer and let that get nice and hard. And I've already got a strawberry
2:45
sorbet poured up and you can see it's really, really loose. I've really poured it up in a
2:52
soft serve state because I'm going to put it in the freezer and let it finish hardening
3:01
And I've already got some that's gotten hard. you can see what it looks like and you can see how pretty that is and how fine
3:16
gosh can't wait to taste it but i think i'm going to taste this one because it's still nice and soft Mmm
3:29
This is me brain freeze. Mmm. Oh my gracious. Mmm
