0:02
I got this on about medium heat. And we're going to put some butter in there
0:08
About a tablespoon of butter. You know what, I'm going to put a little bit more
0:17
That's my girl. Never hurts. Let that get nice and melted. And add about a tablespoon of brown sugar
0:26
That's going to kind of caramelize those nuts. It makes them real good. Yes
0:31
Once it melts, then you're going to add the pecan halves to it. OK
0:36
Well, I'll add the pecan halves, and you can add the pecan halves
0:40
And I'm going to start on the pancakes. So 2 thirds cup of flour. Mm-hmm
0:49
Teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice. I'm going to throw in these pecans
0:53
Yeah, throw them in there. I adding 1 third cup of sugar Mm Make these things nice and sweet Yes And about a quarter teaspoon of salt in here too
1:06
Alright, so set the flour mixture aside. I've got three tablespoons of melted butter here
1:13
Four egg yolks is right in. Whisk it. I'm adding some buttermilk
1:21
And about one and a quarter teaspoons of vanilla extract. Now add in the dry ingredients
1:29
I'll just go ahead and put all of it. All right, mix that in
1:37
Okay, so I've got a cup of pumpkin puree. I just use canned
1:41
I suppose you could make homemade if you were really ambitious. Just kind of fold that in gently
1:47
I love it. It smells fabulous and I'm also smelling these nuts. Well, those are probably cooked enough
1:51
if you want to put them in that little bowl. Okay, so you want me to take them out? Take them out. Okey-doke
1:58
And see how there still some butter left in the pan Yes I do honey That gonna keep it from sticking And that brown sugar I put in there it Mm
2:06
You can just kind of see where it's started to do its magic. And I just pour this right in there
2:11
You know, this is a great way to do pancakes, Katie, because so many people shy away from them. Mm-hmm
2:17
Because it's time-consuming. It's time-consuming. And you know that as the cook
2:22
you're not gonna get to sit down. Exactly. eat. I love to do this when I have house guests, and people are really impressed
2:29
You saw how easy this was. So easy. Okay, and now these beautiful sugared pecans
2:36
Just place them right in there. And you know if you don't want to use pumpkin
2:42
you can use mashed banana or you can... Oh, got Michael Groover and I love adore
2:49
or banana pancakes. And this brown sugar bacon is gonna be so delicious
2:57
I gonna put this in the oven let it bake and when it in the oven it gonna kinda puff up like a souffle That gonna bake for about 20 or 30 minutes
3:07
20 to 30 minutes, 350? Ooh! Look at that! Because Katie made this like a souffle
3:17
you know, with the egg whites we've got... Oh, Katie! Look how good that looks
3:22
Katie, that smells amazingly wonderful. Now get you a piece, girl. Powder, sure
3:29
That looks perfect right there. Ooh! I may have to let that go. Mm-hmm
3:34
Is it? Mm. Oh, and I got to get me a nut. Mm-hmm. Mm
3:47
