This one's a great holiday salad. I'm going to start with two small three-ounce packages of a raspberry gelatin
0:07
And then I'm going to add, to make sure this holds together real good, I'm going to add about a half an envelope of plain gelatin
0:17
All right, now I'm going to take a cup of boiling water
0:30
and pour that over in our gelatin. And I'm just going to stir this up until it dissolves
0:37
which only takes a minute. Now to this, I'm going to add a half a cup of cold water
0:47
I'm going to add one 8-ounce package of crushed pineapple along with its juice
0:53
It's going to give it a nice pineapple-y flavor. All right, and to this, I'm going to add one can of whole berry cranberry sauce
1:04
Now, this is not the jelly type that you slice. You can see it's whole berries
1:10
So we're just going to dump that in there. And then we going to add some chopped walnuts And this is about a fourth of a cup
1:24
All right, so that's all we have to do to that. All right, I don't have a pretty mold, but that's not a problem
1:33
I'm just going to take a brown bowl, and I'm just going to pour it into our grease bowl
1:43
and put this in the refrigerator until it's nice and set. So in it goes
1:58
And out comes another one. All right. There's so many different angles that you can go with your gelatin salad, and I'm going
2:12
to show you my surprise center. All right, now I'm going to start with an 8-ounce package of cream cheese
2:24
And I'm going to sweeten it up a little bit by adding a little powdered sugar to it
2:30
All right now I going to add a couple of dollops of sweetened whipped cream just enough to kind of smooth out that cream cheese
2:54
Next, I'm just going to fold in some nuts. There, and we've got our little surprise center ready
3:04
All right, I'm going to take our jiggly salad over here. I'm just going to run the knife around it
3:14
and then I'm going to just dunk it into a bowl of warm water
3:22
And I'm going to take my bowl, center it up, flip it over
3:31
Now, I'm gonna take a juice can that I've cut both ends out of and I'm gonna come in here
3:42
So if you don want to have to worry about struggling with that you can bring your salad out a little earlier than I did All right now I just going to slip that out
4:02
All right, and you can see how pretty that is. I've made a center. It's almost like
4:06
I've molded this in a bundt pan. So now I'm just going to take my cream cheese
4:14
and I'm going to fill up that hole with the cream cheese
4:23
And I have to tell you, there's just nothing better than cream cheese and cranberries
4:31
So this is a couple of different ways that you can serve your salad. And I'm sure you probably
4:38
have some wonderful ideas of your own, but I have to say this is one of my favorites
4:44
because, like I said, when I slice it, I'm going to get me some wonderful, wonderful cream cheese
4:54
with it. See, this is what it'll look like when we slice it. One of my favorite flavor combinations
