Pumpkin Pie Dip

the most beautiful cook in the world. You're right. Let me show you how to make my famous pumpkin pie dip, y'all

I'll be happy to help you, Paula, with this recipe if you'll tell me what to do

Well, girls, this would be great for your children for Halloween. Okay

Or at Thanksgiving time. Okay. It's a pumpkin pie dip. It's a pumpkin pie dip

Pumpkin pie dip. Dip. What are we doing with the apples, Paula

Probably nothing. Okay, well, I was going to slice them for you

This is a recipe right out of my lighter side. This is sour cream and cream cheese and powdered sugar and a can of pumpkin pie

This is your lighter side. Yay. From the lighter side. Well, I'm going to slice your apples for you, Paula

We don't need them. Okay. We're going to go with ginger snaps

I'll be opening your can. Open my can of pumpkin pie. Of pumpkin puree

Mm-hmm. I'm going to use about a half a cup of sour cream. See, this is light, so we're only going to use a half a cup of sour cream

Okay. Rather than the whole tub, which sometimes I would do. Okay

One eight-ounce package of softened cream cheese. Okay. One can of pumpkin puree

Okay. Mm-hmm. Teaspoon each of cinnamon. Okay. These are ground pumpkin spice. OK. Mmm

One, and then ginger. And then ginger. Or Mary Ann. I prefer Mary Ann And then we going to mix mix mix OK

Y'all, I remember when I was a little girl growing up, and we lived at Radium Springs in Riverbend

and my mama and daddy, and we lived at the filling station. and my poor mama worked so hard

and my daddy would just go out and party and corrals all night and play cards

and we lived at River Bend right outside of Albany we couldn't afford the canned pumpkin

so we had to grow our own pumpkins do you remember I told you this story, haven't I

I'm sure you have. I think I've shared this story with y'all

Did I mention that it's River Bend is where we live? We lived at River Bend

It's River Bend down in southwest Georgia. Right outside the town of Albany

We moved 18 times, y'all, Because my husband Jimmy would just take different jobs and we would just move and move and move and move and move and move

It was 23 times. It was 23 times, Paul. And then one time, hush

I struggled for so long with agoraphobia. You forgot the confectioner's sugar. It's not sweet

I'm so sorry, Paul. So, but we lived at River Bend. And then my agoraphobia kicked in

And I couldn't take my fat little boys to go shop in the Husky Department and see us no more

Memories. I don know if I mentioned it but it was a little bin

Right outside the town of Albany, it was me and my little brother Bubba. My younger brother Bubba and me

I had to raise him all by myself. Oh, Bubba

This was in Ribble Bend. Not Lee County, but Daugherty County

And y'all, this is about the time that the agoraphobia just kicked all in

I couldn't even leave the house, y'all. Take my boys to school

My boys had to walk to school, Jamie and Bobby. Oh. Do you remember when you had to take Bubba to school with me

That's what I'm telling you right now. I practically raised my brother Bubba

I had to take him to school with me. He was always younger than me. And I had to..

I had to take Bubba to school with me. And it was so embarrassing

Oh, and that's when I turned to the stove

I said, stove, save me. And then I started the bad lady with my two boys

when we moved out of Savannah. Because Jimmy had took a job in Savannah

so we moved to Savannah. And I said boys I going to take y out onto the streets of Savannah with the bestest freshest food you ever seen in your life I said boys you will be there at the same time every day

Every day. With my fresh sandwiches and baked goods. So I did it

And that's how the lady and sons was born. And now here we are today, 25 years later

Really, really rich. And it all started at River Bend

And that's how you make pumpkin pie dip
