Are y'all ready to roll, honey-ho
0:07
This is Paula's Keepers, baby. You've got to have this in your recipe box
0:14
This recipe just fills my heart so full. I have so many wonderful memories of this little lady called Miss Gloria
0:24
And Miss Gloria made a wonderful salad cart. She made all the dressings, and she would sing to our guests
0:33
and she would tell them ghost stories about things that had happened
0:36
in different places here in Savannah that was supposedly haunted. Everybody in this town loved Miss Gloria
0:43
So this is definitely a celebration of Miss Gloria's life. So I'm going to share this recipe with y'all
0:52
And she called it her blue cheese ranch dressing. and she would start with one cup of mayonnaise
0:59
and I'm just going to eyeball it. And then she would add a half a cup of sour cream
1:08
Now, you know, you can't go wrong with those two things. She put in about two ounces of blue cheese
1:15
and I probably got about four here. So, you know, you can make this as strong or as light as you like
1:22
All right. She would add a fourth of a teaspoon of parsley
1:29
So I'm going to add two fourths of a teaspoon of parsley
1:33
Miss Glory, you know I liked a lot of stuff. All right, we're going to add a fourth of a teaspoon of onion powder
1:43
Boys do y remember Miss Glory telling ghost stories at night I do She was just the sweetest thing you ever seen Oh the sweetest And I glad that I didn know when I was enjoying her dress and what it consisted of
1:57
Because mayonnaise and sour cream. A half a teaspoon of chives. And now
2:04
I'm going to use a half a teaspoon of dried dill. And
2:12
a half a teaspoon of garlic powder. All right, and she liked a dash of hot sauce in it
2:22
That was for you, Miss Glory, because you was a hot lady. All right, so we're just going to stir that up
2:30
And we're going to thin this out with a little milk. But I just loved all of Miss Glory's family
2:38
She created a great family. She created a great family. I think she was the matriarch of the family
2:42
Yes, she did. Much like you, Marma. Thank you, son. This doesn't need a lot of salt, so I'm just going to do a sprig
2:52
But remember now, as this sits, you know, blue cheese can get very, very strong on you
2:57
So when you're making it, you might not want to do it to taste right that second
3:04
because it is going to get stronger. So here we go, Miss Gloria
3:12
Yum. and look at this beautiful salad that I had. Oh, we would have the eggs and we would have the bacon
3:22
And here's to my friend, Miss Gloria. I know she's up there with Jesus making him the best salad
3:28
he ever put in his mouth. Thank you. Thank you. I always loved you, dear lady
3:42
you
