- Hey y'all, it's Troy here at The Lady and Suns.
0:04
This time of the year is peach season in Georgia.
0:07
So end of May, early June,
0:11
right whenever we start producing all of our peaches,
0:13
you can get 'em fresh.
0:15
But one thing about restaurants, especially like us,
0:18
we like to have consistency.
0:20
So we use a peach puree, we make it in-house here.
0:24
We've also bought one in the past.
0:26
It's really, really up to you.
0:27
You can use peach daiquiri mix
0:29
you can buy at the grocery store
0:30
to make drinks just like this if you want.
0:33
So we're gonna make this Georgia peach martini for you.
0:36
It's a super simple drink,
0:40
and here we use stemless martini glasses
0:43
because our restaurant has three levels of service.
0:48
So four floors, you'll have to run up
0:50
and down at times with drinks.
0:52
And we found that having the tall stemmed wine glasses,
0:55
martini glasses can be very, very cumbersome.
0:58
So we found these and we fell in love.
1:03
This one here, we keep in the freezer,
1:04
so it's definitely chill.
1:06
But sometimes you're at home
1:07
and you realize you just want a martini.
1:10
So I'm gonna show you how to chill it super quick.
1:14
(metal scoop clanking)
1:15
(ice crunching) I've always found
1:17
that soda water does it quicker,
1:18
but you can just use regular tap water, anything you want.
1:23
Cold water of course, is gonna chill a lot faster,
1:25
but if you let it sit for about five minutes,
1:28
this glass is gonna hold your drink a lot longer.
1:33
But it's just that simple.
1:36
And then once it's done, you just wanna turn it,
1:38
turn it upside down for a little bit,
1:40
let it drip in the sink,
1:41
and then that's already chilled enough.
1:43
You can see it on the outside.
1:47
So for this drink, we're gonna use a shaker tin,
1:52
(metal scoop clatters)
1:55
Then we're gonna take an ounce and a half of vodka,
1:58
Titos, one of my favorites
2:00
so that's what we're gonna use.
2:03
All right, then we have peach schnapps,
2:09
and we have our peach puree.
2:11
- [Videographer] How do you make peach puree?
2:13
So what we do here in the restaurant
2:16
is we take canned peaches and we use the Ninja,
2:20
and we just blend it until it's comes out smooth.
2:24
You could do it with fresh peaches,
2:26
you wanna cook 'em just a little bit
2:27
so they're softer, but it's just that simple.
2:31
Or you can just buy it from the grocery store.
2:33
I feel that canned peaches,
2:35
fresh or frozen peaches
2:37
have a less artificial flavor to them.
2:42
So we're just gonna take our drink, we're gonna shake this.
2:45
So you want ice crystals to form on the outside,
2:49
just so this drink stays colder for longer.
2:52
You can get super, super flairey
2:54
and shake it around, all that good stuff.
2:57
I'm trying not to make a mess every day, so.
3:07
And you can see I'm starting to form,
3:13
it reminds me of the shake weight.
3:19
just pour it into our glass,
3:27
and you can do a lot of garnish with this.
3:29
You can put a piece of mint in there.
3:30
You can put a fresh peach, whatever you want.
3:33
Or you can just drink the drink, right?
