0:00
- Okay, so the last couple of videos I've done,
0:03
cooking videos, y'all,
0:05
we are doing, like, a sheet pan dinner
0:10
because I know y'all are time-fragile,
0:14
working jobs, tending to children,
0:16
or taking care of grandchildren.
0:18
You need to make the most of your time.
0:21
So today I'm making a sheet pan
0:25
pork, potato, and vegetable dish,
0:29
So I'm gonna just tighten my tinfoil around here,
0:34
because you know I have that convection oven.
0:37
And that tinfoil will fly away
0:41
from all that force of the air,
0:44
so I'm gonna do that real good.
0:45
So we've got a pork tenderloin,
0:48
which is such a great protein.
0:51
They're real lean, they make wonderful sandwiches,
0:56
and you can take 'em any kind of flavor you want.
0:58
They're great on a grill.
1:01
I've got some small potatoes,
1:04
fresh green beans, tomatoes,
1:07
garlic powder, onion powder,
1:09
and Italian seasoning.
1:11
And at the end, I'm gonna sprinkle,
1:15
just pour a little bit of glaze
1:18
over the tomatoes and the green beans.
1:22
So we're gonna start,
1:26
I think I might start over here
1:29
with my meat and potatoes.
1:33
maybe do my seasoning over here.
1:38
a Mediterranean lemon
1:45
and I'm just gonna rub it down
1:47
and drizzle the potatoes with this.
1:50
- [Theresa] Paula let 'em know
1:51
that the recipe actually just said the regular olive oil.
1:53
- Yeah, y'all heard Theresa, right?
2:00
think that this olive oil that we have will go good with it.
2:04
Yeah, our divine olive oil.
2:07
All right, so I've got my onion powder, my garlic powder,
2:19
Oh, my nice scarf. (chuckles)
2:22
All right, so I'm just gonna toss these over here on this.
2:28
And then I'm going to put 'em
2:30
on one side of my cookie sheet here.
2:39
These are nice and slicked up,
2:42
which means they'll roast real nice,
2:47
We're gonna put our tenderloin and our potatoes
2:51
in the oven for about 15 minutes
2:56
because it's gonna take longer for the potatoes
3:04
and the tenderloin to cook,
3:08
will take a little longer
3:11
than the tomatoes and the green beans.
3:13
I think it's gonna be easier to do it this way.
3:26
Ooh, this is gonna be so good.
3:29
The other night I cooked a pork tenderloin,
3:34
and I don't know, Michael or Eddie,
3:36
somebody must have picked it up
3:40
because it was a seasoned tenderloin.
3:43
And I usually just season my own.
3:45
You know, I don't usually buy one
3:48
that's marinated and seasoned.
3:57
And I like to take tenderloins and slice 'em thick
4:01
and then get my meat mallet and beat 'em out real thin
4:04
and make, like, country fried steak out of the pork.
4:09
So this is going in the oven for 15 minutes,
4:12
and it calls for a 425 oven.
4:17
So these are gonna cook fairly,
4:22
It's been 15 minutes, y'all.
4:29
Looks really, really good.
4:39
where did my tomatoes and green beans go? (laughs)
4:43
- [Theresa] I started cleaning up.
4:45
I know you thought that I was gonna leave.
4:46
- I can't turn my back, y'all, with these two. (laughs)
4:50
Thank you. - Yeah, we're neat freaks.
4:53
- Y'all are neat freaks.
4:56
- [Theresa] Here's your olive oil back.
4:59
You're too good to me, Theresa.
5:01
- [Theresa] Once I give it back.
5:05
- All right, so I'm spreading my green beans out,
5:09
What did we cook the other day?
5:11
The roasted tomatoes were so...
5:15
- [Theresa] Salmon with the pesto.
5:16
- Yes, yes, it was a sheet--
5:18
- [Theresa] And that recipe will have already shown
5:19
by the time this one does,
5:20
so please make sure you see it.
5:22
- Okay. - 'Cause that is so good.
5:23
- It was out of this world and easy and clean
5:30
Whoa, you better get back up here.
5:36
Eddie made me reach for that one.
5:39
I'm going to just put a little olive oil on that.
5:41
It doesn't call for it,
5:45
sometimes that's what I like. (chuckles)
5:49
And you know, I've told y'all a thousand times
5:54
a recipe is just a starting point for you.
6:01
Do what you wanna do.
6:10
We'll check again at 10 minutes.
6:14
May need another five.
6:15
I'll have to insert the
6:18
thermometer in the meat
6:20
and see what it says.
6:23
So there we go, our sheet pan meal.
6:26
Look how beautiful that is.
6:29
I mean, that's pretty enough
6:30
to just set on the table
6:36
Feel like I got a piece of pepper in my tonsil
6:47
And it smells delicious.
6:51
You know I gotta get a little taste.
6:54
I'm gonna go down here
7:04
because I really don't wanna mess up the presentation
7:09
'cause I think it looks so pretty just the way is.
7:22
And for those that like balsamic vinegar,
7:30
you don't have to do this,
7:32
but I'm gonna put a little on the tomatoes
7:40
This is like a syrup.
7:42
You know, you could make this yourself
7:52
And I love roasted tomatoes.
7:59
These are like nice, tiny young, fresh green beans.
8:06
A lot of people like this crispy.
8:09
That balsamic gives it a nice sweet taste.
8:18
we cook our green beans the southern way,
8:23
- [Speaker] To death.
8:24
- In ham hock and all the good stuff,
8:29
you know, and we cook 'em southern style.
8:32
Like I said, a lot of people like 'em this way,
8:34
but if you don't like them,
8:39
what I'd recommend you doing is parboiling your green beans
8:44
and get 'em to the softness that you like.
8:47
But this is a wonderful, beautiful meal.
8:55
Green beans are a little chewy,
8:58
but like I said, some people love them that way.
9:12
one of my favorite proteins, y'all,
9:14
'cause you can do so much with it.
9:16
You know, tenderloins usually come two to a pack,
9:20
so I didn't wanna cook both of 'em,
9:24
so I've got this one going
9:29
and I'm gonna make pork and rice out of that,
9:32
which will be a totally different meal.
9:40
Never met a tater I didn't love.
9:54
I'm gonna make a little slit in this,
9:56
and you can see that that is cooked perfect.
10:01
I could have taken it out a minute early
10:06
because you know these,
10:07
it's like any tenderloin,
10:08
it gets small on one end.
10:11
So naturally, this end is gonna get done
10:14
way before the rest.
10:21
it's a safe meat to eat medium.
10:25
Wouldn't want it medium rare,
10:27
but medium is, you know, with the little pink in it,
10:31
So I hope y'all like this.
10:34
Remember, you can swap up your vegetables.
10:37
If you don't like green beans, do broccoli.
10:45
Love and best dishes, y'all. (chuckles)
