- Well, for Big Game Day now, we have to have something
0:04
that the younger fan, football fans would like to have.
0:09
So I'm gonna share with y'all this recipe for puppy chow.
0:14
Now, this is not for the four-legged puppies
0:17
but it's for your little two-legged little mutts
0:24
but because it's got chocolate in it,
0:25
it's not for four-legged puppies.
0:29
It's for the two-legged puppies.
0:31
All right, so we're gonna start by adding one
0:37
bag of milk chocolate chip morsels.
0:41
Now, most of the recipes will call for semisweet
0:44
or something like that but I just love the milk chocolate.
0:48
I'm just not wild about the semisweet.
0:52
So we're gonna melt, we're gonna melt our chocolate chips
0:58
and I'm gonna add a half a cup of peanut butter
1:02
to the chocolate and let it melt
1:05
and then I'm gonna add a stick of melted butter.
1:20
So tell me, I'm really bad about not watching the game.
1:24
I have been to one live in person that they sent me to,
1:30
sent Michael and me to and it was exciting
1:35
but I just have trouble keeping up with that ball, y'all.
1:40
Once it comes out of the quarterback's hand,
1:43
it could be anywhere for all I know.
1:46
So when I, in my senior year, I was a head cheerleader
1:52
and I really didn't know nothing about football
1:54
but I sure did like my boys in that uniform
2:00
and I know one time I called out,
2:04
okay, push 'em back, push 'em back, girls,
2:09
push 'em back, push 'em back, way back
2:14
and one of the junior cheerleaders came over to me
2:19
and they said, "Paula, we got the ball.
2:21
We don't say push 'em back when we got the ball."
2:26
I said, okay but we sure were cute doing it.
2:31
All right, so now I'm gonna start stirring in
2:46
This is one of those recipes where you can,
2:49
oh gosh, make your flavor profiles.
2:55
You can take it so many directions
2:58
like I think pretzels would be real good thrown in this
3:02
with the sweet and the salty.
3:06
So it's really just a matter of your taste.
3:13
Teaspoon of vanilla into our melted bag of milk chocolate,
3:20
a stick of butter and a half a cup of peanut butter
3:26
and now, we're gonna take one standard box of Chex Mix.
3:38
Now, this is a 18 ounce
3:40
and what we really need is like a 16 ounce.
3:42
- [Theresa] No, 12. - A 12?
3:44
Okay, so if this is 18, 12, 24,
3:49
I'm just gonna guess at it, y'all.
3:52
Theresa and I have been walking around digging in it,
4:04
think that might be enough.
4:09
Okay, so we're just gonna pour this over our chocolate,
4:22
over our cereal, not our chocolate.
4:25
We're pouring our chocolate over it.
4:30
I get mesmerized and hypnotized
4:33
when I start working with chocolate,
4:37
I don't know what I'm saying.
4:40
So I'm going to add one box of confectioners' sugar.
4:51
Stir that all together.
4:58
This would be a fun recipe for your kids to make with you.
5:05
- [Eddie] For the adults,
5:06
you could spray it with a little bourbon at this point.
5:13
You could actually put some bourbon in with the chocolate
5:17
and give it a bourbon taste and make an adult big dog chow
5:25
instead of a puppy chow.
5:44
I've got a two gallon Ziploc bag and I'm gonna pour this in.
5:55
So don't forget Eddie and Theresa's suggestion.
6:00
Turn this puppy into a dog, full grown big bad dog
6:08
by putting some bourbon in the chocolate,
6:11
in the butter and the peanut butter.
6:16
Just make sure y'all keep me a bag for puppies, okay?
