We had a terrific rain last night,

most of the blooms off of things.

- Because he's always out here in this yard.

He has given us the most beautiful yard

to walk into every day of our life.

This is my favorite,

favorite thing that you put by our front door.

We had the hydrangeas,

but now, so tell me what you've done here.

- [Eddie] Well, you know, we started with

the hydrangeas here back in like February

and they finally needed to be put in the ground.

- Yes.

- [Eddie] They were starting to get

kind of burnt out up here.

- [Eddie] So these pots here,

I actually started like back in March,

and I used them over by the chicken coop

and they got really nice and full,

so we moved them up to the front porch.

- [Eddie] So this is the white mandevilla.

- [Paula] And I love mandevillas cuz it's a climber.

- [Eddie] It's a climber.

This one here, there's some that really go,

you know, climbing.

This one here kind of only goes so far,

so it's nice.

And then it has-

- [Paula] It smells good.

- This has the sweet alyssum.

- [Eddie] It has a powdery, you know, powder smell too.

Well, I know they've been in these pots down here forever,

but you know, I didn't know the name of them.

I mean, I know my hydrangeas, I know my geraniums.

I know my impatiens, I know my ferns.

- Yeah, the geraniums we started back in the early spring

and they're just about done here now,

they're starting to get a little burnt out.

- Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're starting to look tired.

But these are incredibly beautiful, y'all.

So you can do the same thing in a pot.

Now are these in individual?

It's in one big pot.

- [Eddie] It's one gig pot, yeah.

And impatiens, they love the shade.

They don't like the real bright, hot sun.

So let's come on down everybody.

- [Eddie] Over here we've got more impatiens.

And last year, last year, I decided,

rather than planting them in the ground,

I just kept them-

Planted the pot into the ground,

which really kind of helped with the watering.

- [Eddie] A little more moist in the ground.

- [Paula] We got something that didn't survive.

- [Eddie] That is one of the-

Yeah, and I think that's getting too much water.

And of course the elephant ears.

I love, love, love the elephants ears.

- [Eddie] And the tractor seats.

- [Paula] Yes, I love those plants.

And that's the generic name for 'em,

tractor seats, because it looks like the seat on a tractor.

Bobby's got those all in his yard and I just love them.

And of course the boxwood, you can't beat boxwood.

- [Eddie] Yes, these have been here a long time.

- [Paula] Yes.

- [Eddie] And then the fig vine.

- [Paula] The begonias stuck around.

We tried doing a little more white.

I just loved how the white popped at nighttime here.

- [Eddie] The flowers just look great at nighttime here.

- [Paula] Yeah, yeah and Eddie has put

climbing roses everywhere.

And I would (indiscernible)

became a rose bush, the climbing,

because they do beautiful.

- [Eddie] You can see they're all loaded up with buds again.

They're starting to fill back out.

- We had these baskets

and Eddie came up with the idea

of hanging them under the shutters

and those are beautiful.

Now what do you have in there besides the fern?

- Okay, so we did the Queensland ferns in the baskets

and the bougainvillea is that deep fusia color.

- [Paula] I love bugainvillea.

- [Eddie] And then it really did well last summer.

- [Paula] Uh-huh, uh-huh.

Yeah, you gotta make sure that those

of the hot sun will work put on those.

And Eddie duplicated the same thing now

on this side of the yard.

- They're coming up beautifully.

And you can see just specks of color

like Eddie hangs a basket,

But just to touch a color up, up in the crease.

They think it's time to go back in,

So once again, Eddie put a climbing rose here

and when it blooms it's just incredible

And this rose bush is finally coming back.

And it's a yellow, a climbing yellow.

So Michael and I argue all the time about

which is the front yard, which is the back.

To me, this is the backyard.

But Michael has adamantly told me

that's considered the front of the house,

but my front door is around there y'all.

So to me this is the back and that's the front,
