0:00
- We were all standing here
0:01
just talking about how much we enjoy
0:04
warm beverages during the wintertime at this time of year.
0:07
I'm a coffee drinker anyway
0:09
so in the morning I love to have a couple of cups of coffee.
0:12
It's just, yeah, I just love it.
0:14
It wakes me up in the morning
0:15
but also, I really like hot chocolate
0:17
and I think everybody in the room agrees
0:20
hot chocolate is great especially in the wintertime.
0:23
So today, we're gonna make a little hot chocolate.
0:25
It's not your average hot chocolate.
0:27
It's a little different.
0:28
You can go exactly by this recipe if you'd like
0:31
or you can shake it up, whatever you wanna do
0:33
but the basics are milk and half and half
0:38
and malted milk powder with a little marshmallow creme
0:42
and we're gonna use white chocolate today.
0:44
So it's really simple.
0:46
Everything just goes into a saucepan
0:50
and the recipe that you're gonna see, we've cut into thirds.
0:53
We're not making a big, giant,
0:56
we're not making the full recipe.
0:57
We've cut it into thirds.
0:58
So milk, half and half and to that,
1:05
it would help if I get my stove top going.
1:08
And to that, we will add,
1:13
there we go, some malted milk powder.
1:19
Okay, I'm just gonna,
1:21
not long enough that we need to take a break.
1:23
I'm just gonna go ahead
1:24
and break down the malted milk powder and get it mixed in.
1:34
only take a few minutes on the stove top.
1:36
So to that, I'm gonna add a little bit of marshmallow creme,
1:42
creme, and I need a spoon for that.
1:45
That ain't pouring out.
1:45
I thought it was soft.
1:48
- [Theresa] It's not, it's a fluff, marshmallow fluff.
1:58
And I'm gonna put a couple of big dollops in there
2:06
'cause I like marshmallow.
2:13
And there's the clicking.
2:15
- [Eddie] Only one way to get rid of that.
2:16
- Yeah, exactly, I know, I was going to lick it but letters.
2:26
Take just a few minutes for this to break down
2:30
and I'm going to add also,
2:33
you would think that we could get rid of that click
2:38
- [Eddie] I think when you make a breeze go by, it starts.
2:44
So some white chocolate.
2:47
I love white chocolate.
2:55
- [Theresa] Might wanna move it to another.
2:59
Sometimes you turn it off and turn it on again
3:02
and you get your wish.
3:09
And a little bit of vanilla extract.
3:16
Maybe a couple of teaspoons.
3:19
I'll do one and a half teaspoons.
3:23
I'll find an eye that doesn't click
3:27
and we'll come right back.
3:29
Our hot chocolate is hot and looks and smells wonderful.
3:36
I don't know about you
3:37
but I really, really like white chocolate.
3:40
This is such a huge mug.
3:45
I'm not gonna fill it all the way up.
3:48
So dressing it, all right?
3:51
You could use a leftover candy cane from Christmas
3:54
or you could use a cinnamon stick or if you wanted,
3:57
you could use a little Reddi-Wip in the can.
4:00
You know, put a little whipped cream on top
4:03
or you could add some of the marshmallow creme
4:05
to the top if you want it
4:07
but I think I'm just gonna give it a little stir
4:09
with the cinnamon stick and taste.
4:24
Wow, that is delicious.
4:29
Man, you should taste this.
4:30
White chocolate is the bomb.
4:32
- [Theresa] It is the bomb.
4:37
I could drink that whole saucepan of it.
4:40
That is so yummy, so delicious.
4:43
So do yourself a favor
4:44
'cause in some parts of the country, it's really cold.
4:46
Here in Savannah, it's mild
4:49
but if you're in Minnesota, this will really do the trick.
4:52
- [Theresa] I'll turn the air conditioning on.
4:55
Let's all have hot chocolate.
4:59
That's wonderful so happy holidays, happy New Year.
5:05
Before you know it, it'll be Christmas again.
5:07
So thanks for joining me and I'll see you next time.
