- In the last video, y'all,
0:02
I made these incredible Ineata Jones mayonnaise biscuits.
0:08
So when you have something that's so special as this,
0:14
I just wanna make a kind of a special butter for it.
0:18
So I've got my pan heating
0:21
because I've got hazelnuts that have been chopped.
0:25
And in order to bring out the flavor,
0:31
I'm gonna toast them a little bit.
0:34
And I'm gonna put a little tad of butter in there,
0:41
And you can roast these in the oven.
0:43
But you know, I'm only making like a half a recipe,
0:47
so I'm just gonna toast them right here on top of the stove.
0:54
Because when you're toasting nuts,
0:56
they can get away from you real quick, y'all, real quick.
1:01
All right, so while those are roasting,
1:09
my little hand mixer.
1:15
To beat up this butter
1:21
make sure it's well incorporated together.
1:26
And I've got some coffee extract.
1:28
I got a little maple syrup.
1:31
And I've got two sticks of room temperature butter.
1:39
Don't let me turn that down some
1:41
because I don't wanna burn those hazelnuts.
1:48
Because if you burn a nut,
1:51
just put them in the trash, y'all,
1:54
because they get like this scorched taste.
2:03
Okay, so I've got them turned down real low
2:07
so that won't get away from me
2:09
while we're beating our butter.
2:14
That sounds good, beating my butter.
2:26
Like I said, I'm doing just a half a recipe
2:31
because I don't wanna have too much leftover,
2:38
and it will store well in your refrigerator
2:50
with two sticks of butter,
2:51
I'm gonna use one and a half teaspoons of coffee extract.
3:08
one tablespoon of maple syrup.
3:18
You know what else is expensive
3:26
But it's a lot of work too.
3:28
I actually did a show years ago
3:33
and put little trays out on the trees together,
3:40
Is that what we were gathering, I guess?
3:45
And I'm telling you what,
3:46
that maple syrup was out this world.
3:52
All right, now that I
3:57
got my full attention almost.
4:05
So you see why I want to use the mixer
4:12
to make sure all of it's incorporated.
4:15
All right, I need to let these cool for a minute, Eddie,
4:19
because if I put these hot nuts in there,
4:22
that butter's gonna melt.
4:24
So I'm gonna let those cool for just a minute.
4:28
Okay, I've let these cool some,
4:30
so now I'm gonna put my toasted hazelnuts
4:40
and it's gonna make that butter even softer
4:45
because of the warm hazelnuts.
5:04
you would put this in the refrigerator,
5:06
let it chill a little bit,
5:09
and then roll it up in wax paper
5:13
and just cut off a slice
5:14
for those beautiful biscuits.
5:16
No matter what kind of biscuits you're cooking,
5:24
Love and best dishes. (chuckles)
