0:01
The last time I was in the kitchen with y'all,
0:06
I told y'all I had the molligrants,
0:10
which, I'm sure everybody at one time
0:15
has had the molligrants.
0:16
It's just kind of down and sad, you know,
0:19
just trying to get over
0:25
Well anyway, I shared with y'all that my little cat,
0:31
was sick. I knew, I knew something was bad wrong.
0:37
And we had taken her to the doctor about five
0:40
or six months ago and they did blood work,
0:43
checked her out, said she was fine.
0:45
Well, we took her back to the vet,
0:53
and they recommended that we take her
0:57
to this boutique vet that has every kind of doctor
1:04
It was like going to a hospital, you know,
1:06
where you see your specialist for this,
1:09
your specialist for that.
1:11
So as soon as Eddie and I left our local vet
1:15
we went straight to Hardeeville, South Carolina
1:20
to let these other doctors look at her and they did
1:26
And it turned out she was sicker
1:36
So to make a long story short,
1:44
I told them that I would come pick her up on Sunday.
1:48
Well, Saturday night about nine 30 we got a call
1:51
and they said she's not gonna make it through the night.
1:55
I had guessed. I couldn't leave.
2:01
I'll go. I want to go.
2:08
and he brought her back home Saturday night,
2:16
when they gave her her goodnight shot.
2:23
And they brought her home,
2:28
where I ask the wonderful young men that work here with us
2:35
if they would bury her where I could go
2:40
just look out in the window and see her every day.
2:46
And I've got a headstone ordered.
2:49
Do you know when that'll be in Eddie?
2:51
- [Eddie] I didn't get a delivery date yet.
2:55
- But she's gonna have her own little headstone
2:58
and I really do miss that cat.
3:01
I really do miss her.
3:03
She was a rescue and I think we got her in 2010.
3:07
And of course a rescue, they say about a year old.
3:10
Well, I think every rescue is about a year old
3:12
you know, I mean, cause people don't know.
3:15
So we have guessed her age at 14,
3:18
which is young for a house cat.
3:21
But she was so sweet and I just miss her.
3:24
So that was why I had the molligrants,
3:26
and I've still got a little bit of the molligrants
3:28
but I know that we did all we could for her, right Eddie?
3:33
- We did all we could.
3:39
let's go on to something a little happier.
3:42
When her headstone comes in we'll show you.
3:46
It just said beloved Pumpkin.
3:49
So anybody that's had to give up an animal
3:52
you know exactly what I'm saying.
3:55
It's, you know, these are, these little four-legged animals,
3:59
they're part of our family.
