0:01
- Y'all hear me talking about the heat here in Savannah,
0:05
So I'm taking advantage of my air fryer,
0:10
and I'm gonna share with y'all the quickest entree.
0:16
And I'm cooking it out of my "Air Fryer Cookbook",
0:20
and it is a sesame seed-crusted tuna steaks.
0:24
Now, Michael and I like our tuna,
0:28
like medium, medium-rare.
0:33
If it's cooked all the way through, it just loses something.
0:38
So I've got us two tuna steaks, and you want to put them in
0:44
a little baggy, in the marinade,
0:48
and I will tell y'all what the marinade is.
1:06
It's soy sauce, I'll give you the exact measurements.
1:11
Two tablespoons of soy sauce, three tablespoons of bourbon,
1:16
black pepper, four tablespoons of olive oil split,
1:21
four tablespoons of sesame oil split.
1:24
So for our marinade, it's two tablespoons of oil
1:28
and two tablespoons of sesame oil.
1:31
So that was what was in our bag.
1:34
And now we are gonna coat our tuna steak in sesame seeds.
1:44
And we're gonna just kinda press 'em in.
1:49
Sesame seeds are so good with the tuna.
1:54
And it's not gonna take but just a minute to cook these.
2:01
In fact, I've had my air fryer heating up,
2:06
because I want it good and hot.
2:09
I don't want it to have to heat up
2:13
when I put the tuna fish in.
2:20
Oh my God, sesame seeds everywhere!
2:24
I'm gonna spray this, 'cause I don't want this fish stick.
2:35
Okay, so we got our tuna that's been encrusted
2:43
with the sesame seeds, looks so good.
2:48
Michael loves, loves, loves tuna.
2:55
All right, so now I'm gonna spray the tuna,
3:07
I've got it set on 10 minutes,
3:09
but it will be way overcooked in 10 minutes, so I'm gonna...
3:15
But the recipe tells you to set temperature to 400,
3:22
and air fry for six minutes.
3:24
So I've got it set on 10.
3:28
So I'll let this cook maybe four minutes
3:31
and then I'll turn it, maybe cook it for two more minutes.
3:35
So it won't take long, but while that's cooking, y'all,
3:39
I'm gonna come down here and I'm gonna make
3:41
a little salad, and I'm gonna make the dressing first.
3:50
I'm using sesame oil,
4:09
Oh goodness, so in your dressing,
4:13
you just wanna mix these up together, and a whisk,
4:21
good job here. And now I'm gonna put in my lime juice,
4:28
and that is our dressing for our salad.
4:39
Hmm, that looks so good.
4:42
It's just looked so healthy and so refreshing
4:47
for a hot summer day.
4:57
Now this is how I would like to serve it.
5:08
some beautiful sliced thin red bell peppers,
5:17
some wonderful purple onion,
5:23
and some beautiful, beautiful, crunchy,
5:29
crunchy, crunchy, crunchy radishes.
5:34
Okay, so we're almost there.
5:36
We've almost got this meal together y'all, just that quick.
5:50
Gonna turn the air fryer up a little bit,
5:57
and then I'll be flipping it over.
6:04
I'm flipping 'em over,
6:07
and look how good that does look, and I'm gonna spray it.
6:10
Oops, that scared me. (laughs)
6:12
I can't wait till I got some counter space, y'all.
6:18
I'm gonna have lots of counter space
6:19
when we get back in our house,
6:23
and I have very, very little counter space here.
6:27
But I'm thankful, I'm so thankful.
6:33
So just that quick, we have...
6:40
Where did I put our dressing?
6:41
Oh, I was gonna say, "I've lost my dressing!"
6:46
So, I'm gonna give that the last little spin.
6:56
I'm swallowing hard, a perfectly beautiful dinner
7:07
- [Michael] And quick.
7:08
- Quick and easy, and I didn't have to heat up my kitchen.
7:17
That temperature's gonna be perfect.
7:20
When I get inside of there,
7:22
it's gonna be medium to medium-rare.
7:30
It's perfectly delicious, y'all.
7:33
You would think that something like this would cost a lot,
7:42
but to prepare it at home is very,
7:46
very reasonable and very delicious.
7:50
That's such a pretty dish.
7:56
I hope that you all have enjoyed this quick little video.
8:00
I wanna show you inside the tuna.
8:05
If you can see, I left that in there a minute too long,
8:11
it turned out to be medium instead of medium-rare,
8:16
but that's a wonderful, wonderful temperature for tuna.
8:27
All the difference in the world,
8:30
and well done in medium or medium-rare.
8:36
So loving both dishes y'all. (chuckles)
