Let's Talk about Spices

So for you newcomers in the kitchen, let's talk about spices

As you know, spices come in large containers at your grocery store

and they actually have a shelf life of about six months. So one of my tips to you is to ask your mother if y'all can trade off

or your best friend trade off buying spices and split them because you have to do a lot of cooking to use up all your spices

So if you go in halfsies with folks, that makes a pain not quite so bad

Always rely on the sniff test. If this doesn't smell like nutmeg, then don't use it

And you'll want to store these in a cool, dark, dry place

to give them a little bit longer life
