You know what, y'all

There's some tips that you can use in the kitchen that'll make your dinner party or lunchtime better
0:10
How many times have you gone to the grocery store and you find the avocados are all hard as baseball bats
0:18
You've got to have a little give before you can eat these. The quickest way to get them to ripen up
0:23
is use a brown paper bag and take you some kitchen scissors
0:27
and make a couple of clips in the side to let a little bit of air in here
0:31
Now here's what's interesting, is that when you put the avocado in this bag
0:35
with some apples, it quickens up the ripening process. You can put these in with an apple
0:42
in your holes and overnight. And the next day, you'll have soft avocados
0:46
Do not try to make your guacamole with a hard avocado. If it's not ripe, it's not good to eat
0:52
And avocado is one of my favorite things that I love to fix at the house
0:57
I remember the first restaurant that I went to that prepared it table side

I couldn't believe how easy it is. The hardest part about working with an avocado is getting the meat out of here without making a big mess One of my favorite ways to do it is when you cut this Oh look I cut the pit right in half Let me get a
1:13
spoon. We'll dig this out of here. You can do this two ways. If you're really in a time crunch
1:25
I'll take the knife on the avocado just like this and not cut through the skin, but just score it
1:32
on the inside, just like that, and I'll push it out, and it comes out in the cubes
1:42
If you've got a little bit more time and you're doing a bunch of avocados for company, another
1:46
good way to do it is get a cookie cooling screen, quarter your avocados, put it right
1:52
on top of here, and push down. Look how simple that is
1:56
That way, you don't have to worry about cutting through the avocado or cutting yourself
