Okay, let's talk herbs, y'all, because this is something that you might not give a lot of thought to
0:09
In fact, you might be wondering why your herbs don't last longer at your house
0:13
We kill them all the time. There are certain ways that you need to treat them
0:18
Some are delicate and some are not. They require different things. So let's take parsley, for instance, and tarragon
0:24
And cilantro would also be in this category. The way that you want to store these is to wrap them in a damp paper towel and then take a simple storage bag, put them in the bag and into your crisper
0:38
And these will last probably a good week in your fridge if you store them properly like this
0:45
Now, moving on to basil and thyme. These two things are a little bit different
0:50
Basil needs a nice, moist environment. So what you do with it is to create
0:55
sort of a little mini greenhouse right inside your home. So I gonna take a simple mason jar put some water in it let my basil live down inside that water And I going to again go to the storage bag and put it right over the top
1:14
And that'll create a nice moist environment for the basil and that'll live on your kitchen counter for about a week
1:21
Now on to time. This one's tricky and a lot of people don't know this
1:25
but a good thing to do is to take some butcher string, tie it together
1:29
So we'll simply tie this into a little bow. Take some plastic wrap
1:45
Wrap your time in the plastic wrap. And this will be good to go in your fridge for at least a week
1:53
So remember, these are great ways to store and take care of your delicate herbs
1:57
These things are important. They add a lot of flavor to your food and can really save yourself a lot of time and money using these tips
