okay let's talk herbs y'all because this is something that you might not give a lot of thought
0:08
to in fact you might be wondering why your herbs don't last longer at your house we kill them all
0:15
the time there are certain ways that you need to treat them some are delicate and some are not they
0:20
require different things so let's take parsley for instance and tarragon and cilantro would also
0:26
be in this category. The way that you want to store these is to wrap them in a damp paper towel
0:31
and then take a simple storage bag, put them in the bag and into your crisper. And these will last
0:39
probably a good week in your fridge if you store them properly like this. Now moving on to basil
0:46
and thyme. These two things are a little bit different. Basil needs a nice moist environment
0:53
So what you do with it is to create sort of a little mini greenhouse right inside your home
0:59
So I going to take a simple mason jar put some water in it let my basil live down inside that water And I going to again go to the storage bag and put it right over the top And that create a nice moist environment for
1:16
the basil. And that'll live on your kitchen counter for about a week. Now on to time
1:22
This one's tricky and a lot of people don't know this, but a good thing to do is to take some
1:26
butcher string, tie it together. So we'll simply tie this into a little bow. Take some plastic wrap
1:45
Wrap your time in the plastic wrap and this will be good to go in your fridge for at least a week
1:53
So remember, these are great ways to store and take care of your delicate herbs
1:57
