Gus - Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

You know, Jamie and I've eaten some pretty good food today, but we've got..

I'm so full. I know. We've got two four-legged friends, though, that have not eaten today

And Bobby and Claudia don't have a dog yet. Hey, Gussie. But Jamie and his family and Michael and I, we all have dogs, and we love our dogs

and those of you out... Notice Gus has got his own camera, y'all

So Jamie and I are going to make Gus and Lulu a healthy treat

And I could actually eat this treat. I choose not to because they don't have sugar in them

All right, so son, if you would mix up three quarters. Okay, Gus, we're going to get your milk ready, baby

It's three quarters of a cup. Uh-huh, non-fat. Non-fat. Yes. One egg

And a half a cup right No a cup of peanut butter A cup of smooth peanut butter Yes because most dogs son love the taste of peanut butter

And you can just take your mixer and mix that up. And let's see

I think I'll do it right here in the doggy bowl. I need two and a quarter of a cup of a whole wheat flour

All right, now I'm going to add one tablespoon of baking powder

And I'm using a teaspoon mix because I know that three of those equal one tablespoon

All right, so son, I'm just going to add this to your peanut butter and milk mix

All right, son, I'm going to put a little wheat flour right here on the counter

And we're gonna just stick that right here. I'm gonna flip it over and make sure it's floured good

and then I'm just gonna roll it out. It's almost ready. So we're gonna take our different size dog biscuits

and we gonna put them on a parchment lined sheet What is Gus doing Oh my gosh

Emily, that's how he went to sleep last night. He was in my arms. I had an arm under his neck

I'm scratching his belly, and he's snoring. I thought, now, if I could get him to rub my belly

and let me lay in his arms, I would have it made

I used to do the same thing before I got married. That would have been my fault. All right, so we're going to put these in a 350-degree oven, y'all

and we're going to bake them on one side for 20 minutes

and then we're going to flip them over, and we're going to bake them for another 15 minutes

And this is what it looks like. Now, we have a special little friend here today

who works for a veterinarian. She loves her animals. So since Angela's here

I'm going to fix her up a little gift. Hey, Gussie, you want to taste it
