You can spend a lot of money on specialized tools if you want to, but I found the easiest way to clean it is get some tinfoil and ball it up

Spray a little bit of nonstick spray on your grill and just scrub it with that balled up tinfoil

It's affordable and it's effective. That's what I do at my house. It'll work at yours
