We are grilling up some wonderful dishes today, aren't we, Bobby
0:04
We are. We're going to be starting off with one of Bobby's favorites
0:08
an ooey-gooey grilled cheesy olive bread. Golly. Y'all need to make this tonight
0:14
The next two fabulous grilled skewer recipes start with a boneless sirloin and fidea onions
0:21
Then hot, hot, hot grilled cheese and bacon jalapeno poppers. Yes, yes, yes, double yes
0:29
Finally, y'all are not going to believe our sinful grilled hair cobbler
0:34
Oh, Bobby. Yeah. Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited. Good morning, y'all
0:43
Welcome to my kitchen. I got my man baby in here with me
0:47
And you're a man, but you're my baby. So that makes you my man baby
0:53
Got it. So what are we doing today, son? Well, Mom, today we're grilling it
0:57
Everything that you see is going to be grilled. And first off, we're going to do a beautiful Italian olive bread
1:03
You know how much I've always loved olives. It's like my favorite thing. I know. You love, love, love olives
1:08
In fact, when I was a kid and we would go to the grocery store together, I would always say, Mama, can I please get a jar of olives
1:13
And still to this day, I can walk by the sweets, you know, but I can't walk by the pickles and the cheese and the olives and stuff like that
1:20
We're going to make a great cream cheese spread to go with. Well, not just cream cheese
1:23
We're going to use an eight-ounce package of cream cheese, a half-stick butter
1:27
I got that in. A teaspoon of garlic powder. And how many olives are you putting in, Bobby
1:33
This is going to be a half cup of chopped olives. Okay. We're going to add it all together
1:38
And this is one of those great dishes, y'all, if you're outside on the barbecue grill
1:44
Easy, easy, easy. You can do all of this outside. Now, Pepper Jack Bobby is going to give it a little bite
1:55
A little bit of kick, it is. That might be a little more than a half cup
2:05
Oh, that's all right. You know, can you have too much cheese or too much butter
2:09
No. You know, in fact, I'd probably even put more than that in it, Bobby. Keep grating
2:13
Oh, really? Yes. All right, so I'm just going to mix this up
2:19
You'll want to make sure that your butter and your cream cheese is at room temperature
2:23
So this will be easy. Okay, let's put some more. That's going to be about a cup of cheese we got in there
2:28
Yes, I love it. Okay. Get that mixed up. You want to use the hand mixer on it
2:34
and maybe make it a little smoother and a little easier to spread on this bread? Yeah
2:38
Give it a couple of hits for me. All right. Olive and cheese spread, how can you go wrong
2:42
Two of my favorite things. You know, it's funny. When Santa Claus comes to see Bobby every Christmas
2:49
there's... Talk about me like I'm two. Santa always sticks a bottle of exotic olives
2:57
Always has. In his stocking. Always has. Now we're just going to spread it on this bread
3:03
Okay, doll baby, so hit it. Golly, that's good. And that cheese gives it just the right amount of kick
3:10
I can just about just... That helps. May I help? Please, yes
3:16
Golly. Y'all need to make this tonight. And y'all, we're just using a fresh olive loaf that we picked up at the bakery
3:27
There you go, sonny boy. So we're going to wrap this bread in tinfoil
3:31
We're going to put it on the griddle back here, and we're just going to roll it every couple of minutes until it's just nice
3:35
We're not trying to bake it. We're just trying to get the spread that we've just made to melt inside the bread
3:41
All right, now we're going to just sit that on there. We're going to have to watch it because our griddle's pretty hot
3:47
Well, do I have a treat for y'all today? We're going to do a grilled pear cobbler
3:52
Bobby, you remember you made all the desserts when we were at, when it was just the lady
3:58
I learned how to scrub pots and make desserts. Yes! In that order, those were my first two duties
4:04
What a combination. And we've got eight pears that we're going to peel, son
4:09
You know, I could grow pears, Bobby, out in the yard. You got everything under the sun growing in your garden and in your yard
4:16
Just going to get these seeds out. And you're using a little melon baller. Mm-hmm
4:29
All right. I'm going to help you out here, and I'm going to pour up two cups of a pear nectar
4:34
And this is going to be to sort of marinate those pears in. Well, when you make a cobbler, you always want to have plenty of juice
4:40
and you can find this, y'all, in your fruit juice section at your grocery store
4:47
And I'm just going to take these pears and I'm going to toss them in that pear nectar
4:54
And then we're just going to put these on our grill. Right. We're not really going to cook them, you know, grill them until they're cooked
5:00
Yeah, cook them all the way through. We're just going to get some marks on them. Yeah. and while you're grilling our pears, Bobby
5:08
I gonna be mixing up our batter This is real real simple All right now Can I go ahead and get started Yes honey You may have to turn up the grill
5:20
All right, now we've got like an 8 by 11 pan Bobby
5:24
And I'm just going to pour a stick of melted butter in our dish
5:30
Yay. And over here, I'm going to use two cups of our biscuit mix
5:39
Two cups of sugar. A cup and a half of half and half
5:47
And then we just whisk those together. All right, now I'm just going to pour our batter over our butter
5:55
I'm going to have you some pears here in just a second. Okay. Oh, yum
6:01
Yeah. Oh, Bobby. Yeah. Perfect. Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited
6:22
All we have to do now is we're going to take our leftover pear nectar
6:26
Right over the top. And we're just going to pour this right over the top
6:31
And that is going to be the juice for our pear cobbler
6:36
And that's going to give it a nice, sweet flavor. I'm just going to do a little cinnamon essence on top of them
6:43
And into the oven, 350? Into the oven, 350 for about 45 to 55 minutes
6:48
You know, ovens can vary. Perfect. All right. Y'all don't go anywhere
6:55
Coming up next, Bobby and I are teaming up to cook these tasty sirloins and onion skewers, y'all
7:01
How many beans does it take? Take. Then we're wrapping up these cheesy jalapenos with something special
7:09
Bacon, y'all! I ain't never met a pig I didn't love, Bobby
7:15
And later, you don't want to miss how we finish up our pear cobbler
7:23
Oh, gosh, I'm having more fun in here with Bobby. You know I really like you
7:28
Oh, really? Yes. I mean, you know, you love your children, but I like you
7:33
That's a nice thing to say, Mama. I like you too. Do you like me better than you like Jamie? Yes
7:37
Wow. Hope you don't see this show. No, son. I like you equally
7:44
I know. I'm playing. I know you're pulling my leg. All right, well, tell them what we're doing now. Okay
7:49
We are making grilled bone with sirloin and five day onion skewers, y'all
7:54
Now, I'm going to quarter these onions, Bobby. We're not going to need them yet
7:58
And I'm going to be making up the marinade for this. So what I'm going to do is mince up these garlic cloves, Bobby
8:05
I've got eight cloves. And, son, you're cutting a two-pound boneless sirloin
8:10
And I'm just going to throw these in our dish. And you're cubing those into about two-inch cubes
8:16
Right, and this is a beautiful piece of meat. And you can use any kind of meat that you wanted. We just chose to use a sirloin
8:20
I love sirloin. Cheaper cut of meat. Exactly. That's what I was going to say. But it's still good
8:24
I mean, look at that, how beautiful that is. All right, now I'm going to measure out a third of a cup of apple cider vinegar
8:31
and I'm just going to pour that over our garlic cloves. Okay
8:35
And then I'm going to use the juice of one lemon. And if you'll give me a hand here, Bobby
8:42
I need a teaspoon of house seasoning, half a teaspoon of oregano
8:47
a teaspoon of paprika, and then a teaspoon of sugar. We're going to put in a little grated Parmesan cheese
8:58
So there you go, son. Now let's whisk that together. Okie dole
9:03
And you want to start scooping up your meat and tossing it on in here
9:08
All right. And then I'm just going to take my hands and I'm just going to bathe them in that marinade
9:14
We want to marinate this, y'all, for like an hour. All right, son, if you grab the plastic wrap back there, and we're just going to cover this up and we're going to toss it in the refrigerator
9:24
And I'm just going to wash my hands real quick. I just love working with this stuff
9:28
I do too, Bobby. Here, Sonny Boy. Here, I'll help you. Thank you
9:37
If you'll grab one end. Hey, wait, where are you going? I'm helping you
9:40
Yeah. How many deans does it take? Take to wrap up a pan of meat
9:48
There we go. Maybe three. We need to get Jamie on the horn
9:55
All right. So, Sonny Boy, you can put it. Yeah. For about an hour
9:59
Put it in the bottom refrigerator drawer. And we're going to move on down here to..
10:04
Real simple grilled jalapeno wrapped in bacon. This is great for tailgating
10:08
Yes. You can do these ahead of time. You can grill them at home and just wrap them in ball and take them for your ball games
10:17
That's right. So we cut the tops off and deseeded six jalapenos
10:22
And if you would grate your pepper jack cheese I will be chopping us up a couple of tablespoons of cilantro And that all that we going to put in these jalapenos You can be a little original
10:35
You can really kind of use any kind of cheese you want to
10:39
I like the heat. I like a little spice. Yeah. I'm pretty much always going to use a pepper jack whenever I'm great with cheese
10:45
Especially for this. I mean, that's the theme of that. Yeah, you got hot on hot, don't you? Yes
10:54
All right, I've got about a half a cup of this cheese grated here. Do you think that's enough or do we want more
10:58
Yes, son. Throw it in that bowl. So in goes the cheese
11:03
And the cilantro. All right, we've got some wooden skewers, y'all, that we've had soaking in water
11:12
That will help prevent them from catching on fire. All right, so we're going to take our jalapenos and we're going to take our cheese and we're going to stuff them
11:22
and then I'm just going to put this top back on it, Avi. And then I'm just going to run that skewer up it
11:31
And I've let my skewer, y'all, see it just barely peeping out
11:36
And now we're just going to take our bacon and, y'all, I'm going to start at the top
11:41
And you want to make sure, y'all, that you bring your bacon so it'll cover that cap and then just spiral it down
11:50
I ain't never met a pig I didn't love by. Grill's starting to get nice and hot
12:06
Good. You want me to test one? Yeah, baby. Yeah, these are going to be great
12:16
There you go, son. Now, these are only going to take a few minutes
12:20
We're going to roll them around on the grill, just enough to make that bacon nice and crispy
12:24
I'm the sissy in the family. I can't eat stuff that's real hot
12:30
But these are like addictive. Well, today's your lucky day. I know. These are like addictive
12:35
So y'all stick around. Up next, we're ready to sink our teeth into these spicy jalapeno poppers
12:42
Look-a-heel, look-a-heel. Then we're grilling off our sirloin skewers and giving this meal a taste
12:48
Are these things not perfect together, son? And later, we're finishing off the world's greatest pear cobbler, y'all
12:56
I wish y'all could taste this so bad. Yes, yes, yes, double yes
13:05
Y'all, just look at these bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers. Look-a-here, look-a-here. And you know what? They're really pretty, too. Don't you think
13:13
Oh, I think they're beautiful. Let's get them off, Bobby. And I just can't wait to taste
13:21
And now, Bobby, we've got one little problem. What is it? It's too hot for me to eat
13:26
Well, why don't we blow on them? Okay! Okay! Oh, my gosh
13:47
Oh, Bobby. Bobby Bobby. Oh my gosh. Told you these things were great
14:02
It's burning the crap out of me, but it's worth it. Oh my gosh
14:09
Mine came out of the... Love them. Love them. Love them. The bread
14:18
Mm-hmm. Mm. Mm, hot. Mm-hmm. Look out here now, y'all
14:30
Son, why don't you cut us a few slices? Mm. Oh, Bobby
14:41
Mm. Mm. Mm. You know what this would be great with? Why
14:45
That steak that's marinating down there. Oh, my gosh, yes. I'm going to put together some skewers. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm
14:51
Bobby, that's incredible. You can cook for me any time, day or night
14:56
Mm. Mm. All right. This is so. You and I must just be gross standing here while a mouth's full of food
15:04
All right. Now, I'm going to take a half a stick of butter
15:10
Imagine that. And I'm making the sauce to cook our onions in over here
15:15
But, son, that steak looks delicious even raw. You are hungry. I'm starving, Bobby
15:24
And this is the secret ingredient now for those onions. I'm going to use one teaspoon of beef bouillon granules
15:33
Mm-hmm. Not the cube, but the granules. All right. And we just going to let that melt on our hot top grill All right so Bobby I going to This was a big onion onion so I gonna scale them down a little bit All right So once again y
15:49
we're using the wooden skewers that we've had in water, and we're just gonna take those skewers
15:55
and we'll start with an onion. Piece of beef. And just one more onion and beef piece, y'all
16:06
And that's it. You wanna put them on the grill? Yes. Yes, yes, yes
16:22
Yum. Look at that. Looks great. All right. I've got some brushes, Bobby
16:30
And I'm just going to start brushing those onions. And that beef bouillon is going to help our little onions to brown. Mm-hmm
16:39
There we go. What a fabulous meal we have grilled up. Well, my mouth's watering
16:50
I'm swallowing so hard. Yum. And y'all, these skewers only need to cook for about three to five minutes per side
16:59
All right, Bobby. All right, Mama. I'm still, look, I'm putting extra butter
17:04
You've been eating the whole time. I'm starving, trying to cook it
17:08
It's so good. Neither one of us is starving. See, and y'all, it took hardly any time to cook
17:18
All right, and here's one for me. And another one for me
17:24
And another one for me. Wow. Let me taste this. Look at that
17:31
Now, see, I love it medium rare. Well, that's about what I got, too
17:36
Mmm, that's so good. Mm-hmm. Look what I'm going to do. I'm going to get that pot of butter and bouillon cube
17:51
No, it ain't. This is all. Here, son. Can you taste that that I dipped in the butter and the bouillon
18:01
And I just adore the onions, Bobby. Mm. Mm. Are these things not perfect together, son
18:10
Mm. Up next, Bobby and I are going to be finishing up the best pear cobbler that you've ever seen
18:18
Whoa! Did you see fire? I didn't. Ha ha ha! Y'all, we have taken our pear cobbler out of the oven
18:27
Mm. Bobby has gotten the ice cream out of the freezer. Mm-hmm. Now, Bobby, you know how we had a few of those pears left over
18:33
I do. All right, well, you know what I'm going to do. You know how I can't stand to waste stuff
18:38
I'm just going to dice these pears up. I put a little butter
18:44
So we're going to saute these pears in a little bit of butter? Yes. Oh, but listen, I ain't done yet, son
18:50
All right. All right, baby, burn that stuff up. Yes. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm
18:58
You know, people just don't think about doing this kind of stuff to fruit
19:06
Oh, really? Maybe their mother is not as creative as my mother is
19:12
Crafty. Crafty. Got to make do with what you got. All right, son, why don't you dip us up a little pear cobbler
19:19
All right. Is a fork all right for your cobbler? Well, actually, I'm going to want a spoon because we're having ice cream
19:25
Okay, well, here's your spoon. Perfect. All right. You want me to try to keep this pretty or just do it
19:30
Make it pretty and do it. Man. Look at that, y'all. Mm-hmm
19:45
Oh, my gosh. Mm. All right, Bobby. Now, look at here, son
19:52
I'm going to add a little of my homemade pear honey and pour over in there
19:57
Mm-hmm. Ooh, that's smelling good. Whoa! Did you see fire? I didn't
20:02
Yeah, son, put us a scoop of ice cream on there. That was warm
20:07
It's not going to let that ice cream stay like that for long. I know. It will pass me my bowl
20:15
Just a few extra pairs for the good children. Oh, my God
20:22
Do you like it, son? It's better than I thought it was going to be. Really
20:26
Oh my gosh. Look at that. Good job
20:36
Pear is my favorite, son. That is out of sight. I wish y'all could taste this so bad
20:42
Well, you can. You can do it at home. Oh my goodness. Thank you, son. I enjoyed it
20:47
You want to take us away? Sure. I had a lot of fun
20:51
I always do. I love you. And as always, best dishes from our kitchen of yours
20:56
See y'all next time
