I told y'all that I felt like I had the perfect, perfect side dish for those pork chops
0:06
But before we get started on our vegetable side, I'm going to start over here making us a glaze
0:15
because when we get through making our vegetable side, we're going to move back over and I'm going
0:20
to show you a fabulous way to eat fruit off the grill. Now I'm starting here with two sticks of
0:28
butter, and I'm gonna add a fourth of a cup of bourbon, or you can use rum if you like
0:34
but I'm using bourbon. Smells delicious. I'm gonna use two cups of light brown sugar, and I'm gonna use a half a cup of water
0:50
We're gonna let this just start cooking. In fact, I think I'm gonna take one of our plates
0:55
and just cover that up so it'll cook quicker. Let's go back over here and see how our syrup's doing
1:07
Looks yummy. I'm gonna take it off the heat. Oops I want to give this a taste It It kinda thick and syrupy which is perfect for what we gonna be doing with it
1:28
Mmm. Gosh, that'd be good on top of ice cream, I think
1:34
In fact, we may do that. All right, now I'm gonna take a plum
1:41
All right, now I'm going to pop out that seed
1:51
And I'm going to dip these down in our sauce. And I'm just going to throw them on the grill
2:06
I want to show you how I decided to serve these grilled plums with that bourbon sauce
2:11
I have a little butter pecan ice cream and I think a little bit more of that sauce
2:17
just kinda drizzled over that ice cream. What a perfect way to get your fruit intake for the day
