I'm here with the cheerleading squad
0:10
You want to get a little bit of this feeding frenzy? You know, I got the high sugars
0:19
So I've been doing a lot of my recipes that I use because of the high sugars
0:25
So the pie that I'm going to share with y'all today is actually inspired by my youngest son, Bobby
0:32
Y'all remember Bobby coming tumbling and cheering with you, don't you? Well, his body looks fine, doesn't it, girls
0:39
But that's because he watches what he eats. Well, this is kind of a combination between I got the high sugars and lightning fast
0:47
Because I have got my sugar-free chocolate here that I melted. I've got two tablespoons of meringue powder with about six tablespoons of water
0:58
See the powder? And you mix that with water and beat it and makes beautiful meringue
1:03
I have got a frozen whipped topping, which has either 10 or 16 calories a tablespoon
1:11
Not much at all. I've got vanilla flavoring and I've got a peppermint flavoring
1:16
So this is going to be a frozen chocolate mint mousse pie
1:26
So let's get her going, girls. We're going to just beat our meringue until it forms stiff peaks
1:35
And y'all know we just had a terrible rainstorm, didn't we? When it's raining outside, you cannot make meringue
1:44
you might as well not even try, because the humidity in the air won't allow that
1:50
You can't make divinity or anything using a meringue when it's raining and humid outside
1:58
But because we're using a meringue powder, it can rain until the cows come home
2:04
and it's not going to affect our pie. I hope. All right, it's a coming, girls
2:17
All right, now I'm gonna take my spatula. My children say I say that funny and not right
2:26
All right and just make sure those sides are down and then I gonna go back to beating Ooh this one will get up there And when you doing a meringue you going to want to use it
2:39
and beat it on the highest speed that your mixer has. All right, so look at here, girls
2:50
See how that magic meringue is just working up there, and we want to beat it, and we want to get it full of air
2:59
Because we're going to fold our meringue into our chocolate. All right, I think that's great
3:10
Look at that. It's formed nice, stiff peaks. Now we're just going to take our melted chocolate, and we're going to fold it in
3:19
Does that look good? Falling into that bowl? I believe I got a bunch of chocolate lovers here today
3:29
I made them the best sugar-free chocolate milkshake a while ago. It was so good
3:39
Now, this one, girls, if you were going to make a regular chocolate mousse pie
3:45
it would have 40 grams of sugar. Well, guess what we've taken this down to
3:53
Four. Four. All right. All right, now I'm going to add a teaspoon of vanilla
4:07
And I'm going to add... Bobby's recipe calls for a teaspoon. Whoa
4:17
I'm going to start with a half and just see how that goes
4:21
Because that may be enough mint to suit me. But do y'all like a lot of mint or a little mint
4:27
A lot. More is better. You know what? It could stay in that other half, so that's what I'm going to do
4:40
So we're going to take our frozen topping, because this is going to make it even bigger and fluffier
4:48
So we're going to fold that in, and that's going to kind of soften that chocolate
4:53
Yeah, yum. Yum, yum. See how that's become now? Frozen whipped topping made it look like milk chocolate See it lightened it up Yum All right now I going to taste it one more time and see about that mint
5:18
It'll be a nice, refreshing dessert. All right, this looks perfectly delicious
5:27
Yum. All right, so we baked off our pie crust, y'all. So we're just going to pour this into our shell
5:37
And see, that's going to be nice and full. Isn't that putty, putty, putty
5:44
And that pie crust recipe is on the network. It is. It's not a frozen one
5:50
No, it's homemade out of your own network recipe. Oh, good. The kitchen staff actually made us a homemade pie crust that's on our network
6:00
Yes. All right. So, girls, we're going to put this in the freezer for a couple of hours and let it freeze
6:11
But I've got one that's already frozen and ready for y'all to try
6:18
And it's right here. Yum. Yum. I'm just going to put a little bit more frozen topping that doesn't have many calories
6:37
And because it doesn't have many calories, we can do this. And I'm going to take some of my sugar-free chocolate and just grate it on top just like that
6:50
Look at that. Isn't that pretty? More? Okay, I'm grating. Y'all tell me when to stop
7:00
This is good. Yay. Okey-doke. Because, see, it's a frozen chocolate mint mousse pie
7:19
Mm-mm-mm. Mm-mm, mm-mm-mm. Come on
7:32
Come on. That first piece is the hardest one to get out Mmm Oh Oh
7:51
Always with a little vegetable. I know y'all don't like it. A frozen chocolate mint loose pie
8:02
Because I've got the high sugars. It tastes like chocolate mint ice cream
8:14
All right, I'm going to turn my back. Quickest one to raise a hand gets to come up here
8:20
Who was it, Bruce? It was the little skinny one right up here in the front. I decided I got to put some white on her
8:27
This one? Yeah, that one. Come on up, baby. What's your name
8:35
Valerie. What? Mallory. Mallory. I love that name, Mallory. Thank you. Do you like chocolate
8:44
Yes, ma'am. Oh, guess what, Mal? You're in for a treat treat
8:53
Because this is some fine pie. Uh-oh. Your piece of crust is breaking up
9:01
But you know what? It's still going to be good. It's still going to be good? A little flour
9:14
Okay, darling. Ooh, smell that mint. Did you smell that mint? Smell that
9:22
Oh! Smells heavenly. I told you. So I tell you what, Val, why don't you take your pie and finish eating it and take this
9:42
one back to the girls and just let them dig in with their fork. How about that
9:47
All right. Y'all dig in. All right
9:56
There you go. Y'all get up there and dig in. Thank you
10:06
All right, so what do y'all think? What do you think? All right. It's good
